Yoshi Eleventeen, otherwise known as just Yoshi, is a high-strung and very intelligent blackjack dealer who currently lives in Los Puffles. His long-lost best friend is Bro. He aspires to become a pilot and CEO someday.

Background[edit]

Early Life[edit]

On July 11, 1992, Yoshi was laid and hatched in his parent's igloo on what was to become Club Penguin Island. His father was a Water Ninja, and he hoped Yoshi would also become a water ninja just like him. Being blue, this was a sign that he surely would.

However, things started to get bad. When he was five, he was brought to the Dojo to start training under Pen Chi. Yoshi soon found out that he had almost no physical strength whatsoever, and he failed miserably. He eventually quit, much to the dismay of his father. However, Yoshi's mom defended his decision, and the parents' conflicting opinions resulted in lots of fighting. They then filed for divorce, and Yoshi's dad left the igloo. His dad is still missing today, and rumors state that he was killed.

Yoshi's mother still stayed in the igloo, though. She hoped that he would be a good speaker, but Yoshi's public speaking skills were lacking at the time. Thanks to his mom, Yoshi was able to learn public speaking skills, and he now had plenty of supporters. Soon, Yoshi's mom lent him some coins, and in 2006, he moved into his own igloo with enough money to live for a year.

Tour Guide[edit]

With the coins he received from his mom, Yoshi purchased a basic camcorder, as well as a budget Doors laptop. He soon found a new hobby of making videos. Yoshi liked posting self-help videos on WaddleTube, which, while unsuccessful at first, received several thousand views. In 2007, the tour guide industry started on the island and they were looking for recruits. After seeing Yoshi's videos, they realized his format of speaking instructionally would make him a perfect tour guide. They recruited him, and he hesitantly accepted.

Being a tour guide was harder than he thought, though. Because Yoshi's physical strength was lacking, he could only walk about a mile or so before panting, often allowing his group to take a "coffee break". Plus, there would be penguins of several unpredictable emotions. However, Yoshi soon overcame these challenges. By 2008, he now had the ability to walk around the island without difficulty, and day by day, Yoshi got used to his sometimes annoying groups.

By 2010, Yoshi was one of, if not the most famous tour guide on Club Penguin. His light blue color and tour guide hat were instantly recognizable, and he appeared in advertisements, brochures, and even the official "tour guide quick start guide". However, after his boss refused to give him a raise, Yoshi decided to quit being a tour guide. He soon left Club Penguin after failing to find any good jobs, and when M&M Resorts in Los Puffles sent him a recruitment letter, Yoshi moved to Los Puffles and became a blackjack dealer.

Becoming a Blackjack Dealer[edit]

In 2010, Yoshi moved to a rental house in Los Puffles. Because he wanted to save money for a permanent house, Yoshi kept his old laptop, as well as his camcorder. Yoshi started working part-time as a blackjack dealer at the M&M Resort. He had never visited a casino before, and he only played blackjack for fun. It turned out, however, that lots of penguins love gambling. Thanks to the large amount of penguins he sees each shift, Yoshi was able to make a living, though his earnings were similar to that of being the senior tour guide.

In 2011, he met Bro online. When he was not working, Yoshi would chat with him online from time to time. Despite their conflicting personalities, Bro and Yoshi got to know each other well. Yoshi even took a visit to Shops Island at one point for the sole purpose of meeting Bro in person. After Yoshi's visit to Shops Island, the two became best friends.

Promotion[edit]

In 2012, Yoshi was promoted to work full time, and he was transferred to the Bellegione, one of the most luxurious casinos in Los Puffles. Because of the amount of high rollers there, and that he was working full time now, Yoshi earned more money than before, and he earned much more than he did when he was a tour guide. Yoshi even moved to a new apartment building near the Strip. He now splurged on an icePeach computer, and he decorated his apartment with modern decor.

However, Yoshi also stopped contacting Bro. He didn't have the time to chat with his mom or friends, as Yoshi was trying to perfect his blackjack skills. In 2013, however, Yoshi decided to surprise Bro. During the events of Calada, Eh?, Yoshi traveled to Calada to meet up with Bro. However, this simple visit turned out to be much more than that. After the Calada vacation, Yoshi continued working at the Bellegione.

Flight 45[edit]

In 2014, Yoshi took a visit to Penguin City in Shops Island, as well as Soul in South Joseon. However, on his flight, Penguin Shops Air flight 45 from Soul to Penguin City, a stray bullet managed to pierce through one of windows on the Snowing 757, causing a rapid decompression and the death of one passenger. Before the passenger's death, Yoshi tried to do the best that he could to try to save him, along with another flight attendant. His efforts were wasted.

After that incident, Yoshi was now on paid leave for one month. During this time, he spent more time chatting with friends and fixing up his apartment. Yoshi didn't earn nearly as much money during this time, so he had to stop going to clubs and stop eating out. When he did go back to work, Yoshi regained himself. The high rollers were back, the games were enjoyable, and, most importantly, Yoshi was making money.

Appearance[edit]

Yoshi was born light blue, and he never changed colors once in his life. Even after quitting, he usually wears his old tour guide hat, making him instantly recognizable amongst the crowd. His work uniform consists of the hotel issued beige formal outfit, though Yoshi usually wears his hat along with it.

Abilities[edit]

Yoshi became a certified EMT in 2011, shortly after moving to Los Puffles. However, he never volunteers to work in an ambulance, and when the local medical response company sent Yoshi a recruitment letter, he refused. The only time Yoshi was able to use his medical skills was during Penguin Shops Air flight 45, which was eventually a failure. Yoshi is also a gamer. He doesn't gamble much, but when he does, Yoshi uses strategy to place bets at the right time and only bets what he can afford.

Weaknesses[edit]

Yoshi is a very weak fighter. This was first evidenced when he was only five, where Yoshi dropped out of ninja training. His physical endurance while fighting isn't much, and he fails at using even a simple gun. Yoshi can also get tired of walking after a while. His ability of walking around has greatly improved since 2007, but Yoshi will still pant if he walks very long distances.

Involvement[edit]

Starting in 2009, Yoshi's portrait was taken by the tour guide company, as well as by advertising agencies. As such, he was highly regarded as the "standard" tour guide. Even today, images of Yoshi are used in the tour guide training manual and advertising brochures for Club Penguin, and he earns a small amount of royalties from them. Yoshi is not as involved in the casino industry, although his co-workers describe him as "a penguin GPS that gambles". He currently lives in a comfortable apartment on the Los Puffles Strip.
