Zipwireus A. Flipside, better known as Zipwire is a penguin who is stuck inside his Doppelgänger's computer and is constantly on the run from security systems and malware detection programs which constantly mistake him as a virus.
Background[edit]
Zipwire was born on April 23rd 1999 inside a member igloo. From his childhood up Zipwire always hated computers, and loved to spend most of his time surfing. He also refused to buy any clothing except for a mad scientist wig and a watch, which was REALLY weird for a member penguin. Though he played Catchin' Waves lots, he never did manage to master it, and never managing to get the maximum amount of coins was a great dissapointment for him. But soon, all this would change.
Entering ZapWire's computer[edit]
One day when Zipwire was walking around the plaza, he was suddenly teleported into a small room. Inside sat Zapwire, who turned away from his computer screen and put on a big smile. "Congratulations! You are about to become the world's first ever penguin to be transformed into a computer program!" shouted ZapWire, and Zipwire looked on in astonishment. Being very simple-minded he had no idea what a computer program was, but he always liked to be "first", and as he had never had a "world's first" (being an average surfer), he was acctually excited.
ZapWire hooked up a cable to Zaipwire and shoved him into a homemade scanner, where Zipwire dissolved into a pixelated form of himself and was sucked into the scanner. After the transformation was complete, ZapWire's computer security system went off, and ZapWire, not knowing what he was doing, chose to delete the "virus".The security "guards" quickly surrounded ZipWire and fired their "deletion lazers" at him, but ZipWire dodged them. And just then the cable "zipped" Zipwire into the computer's solid-state drive (ZapWire perferred those to plain ol' hard drives), and ZapWire suddenl realized what he had done.Thinking that ZipWire was dead, he unhooked the scanner and threw it into the fire, ensuring that nobody would ever get inside his PC again. Or out.
Personality[edit]
Zipwire was a typical surfer, and the result of being trapped inside a computer has driven him insane. He is rather slow, and trusts almost everyone, which makes him suspectable to scams and trojan horses. Zipwire's only real talent seems to be surfing, which is not a very useful skill when trapped inside a computer. However his many years of surfing have given him a good sense of balance and cordination, which may be the key to his survival.
Involvement[edit]
Zipwire is currently trying to make his way to ZapWire's graphics card, where send a signal to ZapWire, telling him that he is still alive and is in dire need of assistance. The inside of the computer appears to Zipwire as a complex, fast-paced platformer in which he has to zip along wires, jump from switch to switch and run away from viruses and security systems. Zipwire would have escaped long ago if his jumping skills were a little better, however he keeps falling into pits and traps, which make him restart the "level".
