The Acadian Defense Forces is the national military of the Republic of Acadia. Though the military hasn't fought in a lot of wars, and is not very big compared to the militaries of Shops Island and the USA, it is growing and becoming more powerful. It receives a lot of funding.

The Acadian Defense Forces descends from a militia founded to protect the colony from attack, which was founded in the 1750s. Records were found from the 1750s and 1760s that detail a professional force specified to protect the colony. This force was called the King's Soldiers.
This force grew famous, for they were one of the rare cases of a colony having a professional army. The army saw action in the Second Opal War, the Khanzem War, the Olde Antarctica War, the STINC War, and the Porcyal War.
In 1995, the Colonial Antarctica War started, with half of Acadia supporting Puffle'and and one half against. Thus, the King's Soldiers disbanded and a new army, the Acadian Freedom Fighters, were formed. This group eventually pushed all Puffish support out of Acadia. This group also arrived in Club Penguin, and aided the Revolutionists. During this time, Brant11 Esser, and Travis Howe, two ordinary penguins at the time, would meet and join the army.
After freeing Club Penguin Island and King George's Island from the Puffish, the Chinstrap Patriots saw action in the Battle of Rockhopper Island in the Yowien Sea, the Battles of Cream Soda Creek and Alemaniantown in Eastshield, and the last Battle of York Street in Trans-Antarctica.
When the war ended in 2000, and the Republic of Acadia was formed, a new army, the Acadian Defense Forces, was created. The Acadian Freedom Fighters was merged with the Acadian Defense Forces, and soldiers from the Acadian Freedom Fighters were able to keep their ranks when they joined. Travis Howe, who had risen ranks during the war, was chosen as leader.
In 2002, when the War of 2002 started, the new army saw its first action. They were very successful, and caught the attention of the international community, which started making alliances with the new nation.
Involvement[edit]
The Acadian Defense Forces has fought in a few wars and battles. With the exception of the War of 2002, Acadia hasn't deployed any soldiers.

Air Force[edit]
The Acadian Air Force is quite powerful, and has a large fleet of planes, with about a thousand planes, bombers, cargo planes, helicopters, and drones. The bombers are quite fuel efficient, since they can fly to western UnitedTerra and back without refueling. They also carry a lot of deletion missiles and normal missiles. There is also a few Snowing 757, which carries the president, other government officials, CIA agents, and armed guards. These aircraft can land on short runways. Air force pilots carry a semi automatic pistol in case they crashed and need to protect themselves from enemies.
Army[edit]
The Acadian Army is the largest branch, with 50,000 soldiers and 1,000,000 reserve troops. Soldiers have a short but vigorous training before they can join. The government also pours a lot of money into the army, to help in become stronger. All soldiers are equipped with two semi automatic pistols like the rest of the Acadian Defense Forces and an assault rifle, with higher ranks can carry assault rifles, machine guns, and ditto guns.

Being an island nation, the Acadian Navy has many ships. Its aircraft carriers mean they work together with the air force, which makes them deadlier when combined. However, the navy also has its own set of aircraft, which they use for rescue or patrol missions. The navy also has submarines, some of which have technology that makes it invisible to enemy radar, and can go for months with having to refuel. There are also battleships, cruisers, and destroyers. Soldiers are also equipped with two semi automatic pistols and an assault rifle when needed.
Coast Guard[edit]
The Chinstrap Coast Guard is a branch of the Navy that specializes in rescue operations and patrol missions. The Coast Guard, as their name suggests, mostly patrol near the coast, but are sometimes sent to rescue operations in other places. They also fight bad pirates and do Doom Weed busts. Because they don't fight often, Coast Guards are armed with one semi automatic pistol only, with higher ranks carrying two pistols. However, when fighting they use assault rifles like the rest of the military

The Special Forces of Acadia, also known as the Chinstrap Intelligence Agency, is the reconnaissance force of Acadia. This organization gets a lot of funding. Organizations such as the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) are branches of this group. They keep an eye on nations like Snowzerland, North Joseon, and East Pengolia.
