Annabeth Violetta Yeager, nicknamed by friends, Anne or Annie, is a twenty-one year-old student from the University of South Pole City. After the death of her late boyfriend, Johnathan Rose, she has changed from a cheery and always-laughing penguin to a more mature and grim woman. She spends most of her time telling customers at the Cafe about Johnathan's escapades from his journal, jokes he'd always tell his friends to make them smile, to heart-wrenching poetry he wrote about his undying love for her. She hasn't gotten over his death since she found out.
She used to love to smile, now she just barely cracks a smirk when reading a line in his journal about her, or a joke Victoria made up. Anne has quite a bit of friends at the University, as she's on her second term there. She's hoping to get a Doctorate's Degree and write a biography about her lost love.

Background[edit]
Early Life[edit]
Anne was born July 7, 1993 to a particularly lucky couple who had been unable to have children for a long time. She has an annoying younger brother named Alex Yeager who had terrorized her childhood with sneaky shenanigans, a plethora of pranks, and diary-digging dilemmas. Although he made her life harder than it would've been, he truly did love her and so did she. On her 12th birthday, he had made her a fuzzy, green pen that she still keeps close to her to this day.
In the 5th grade, Anne had found a lifetime hobby she'd never soon stop: Pin collecting. Anne found as many pins as she could, no matter where they were hidden. Her plaid and green stampbook's cover was packed with pins of Puffles, toothbrushes, candies, and other things you'd never expect to see on the cover of a girl's wallet. Her only competitor was Victoria Floss, her childhood rival. Both their stampbooks were overflowing with stamps and pins.
Teenage Years[edit]
Anne ran for school President in the 8th grade against Victoria Floss. Victoria, a brainy genius with a keen eye for psychology knew exactly how to convince the students to put their votes in her direction. Anne was not happy about that at all. Anne stepped up her poster game with the aid of her also artistic little brother, but all was not well in the campaign game. Victoria got her friends to spread lies about Anne to make sure the students would not want her to be the school President. This made Anne feel rather blue. She was running out of ideas, and fast! Her brother decided to step in. The 6th grader chose to tell the Principal what Victoria was up to, and Principal Jones was not happy at all. Victoria was disqualified from the running, making Anne the victor, which was ironic, considering Victoria's name.
Victoria had a meltdown and was sent to the mental hospital after Anne won, and Anne felt kind of bad for her. She continued her duties as Class President and the school was improved.
In high school, Anne and Victoria grew closer together and became friends. Their personalities were very similar making them the perfect duo throughout their political adventures throughout their school lives.
College Years[edit]
Anne got a job at the Cafe in the college to rake up some coins to buy herself something every now and then. Once, a friendly boy named Johnathan came in, upset. She proceeded to give him his small order of only black coffee as he proceeded to vent his issues to her. She provided him with her best advice, albeit mediocre. The penguin graciously rushed off, leaving her a two-hundred coin tip! Anne was surprised, but wanted to see more of this mysterious boy. She never even caught his name.
At late, boring nights when Victoria was fast asleep in their dorm, Anne would write in her diary. Her diary was many years old, she had it since the fourth grade. Anne would spend her time looking back on the pages then writing new entries to the seemingly never-ending book. This entry, titled The Illusive Customer. She wrote about Johnathan's issues and how she felt about them and him. She of course couldn't leave out the part about the money. She tucked the money in her piggy bank thinking about how she felt about everything that just happened. She lied back onto her bed and continued to wonder before sliding under her thick, maroon blankets and off into a vivid dream.
Even after Johnathan's passing, Anne and Victoria were and still are roommates in college. They often collaborate together on novels and books, combining her writing talents with Victoria's art. Victoria's jokes always make Anne smile. Anne currently knows that Victoria had a crush on her, but both of them value their friendship enough so they don't worry about it.
Quotes[edit]
"The pain may go, but my scars won't fade."
"How does it feel to not be the victor, Victoria?"
"Alex, get your grimy flippers off my diary!"
