Calvin Blake is a 22 year old penguin who is a fan of the TV show My Little Equiffle. He has a genetically altered Puffle named Nightcoder who is designed to look like a Pegasus Equiffle. He is good at programming and

Calvin was born in 1992. He had an older sister who he didn't get along with. When he was growing up, his sister was very bossy, and often made him do her chores while she played video games. Eventually he had a spat out with her, and she moved to another state far away. Soon after, his mother got severe depression and had to take medicine which made her moody and unpredictable. She didn't treat Calvin well, and this made Calvin feels terrible.
Later Calvin saw the show My Little Equiffle. He heard it was very popular with adults, so he decided to watch it. He enjoyed it very much because the positive messages and optimism the show brought him made him feel better for his own life. He didn't miss any new episode and went on forums and chat sites run by fans of My Little Equiffle.
He eventually came up with an original character for the show, called Nightcoder, a Pegasus Equiffle with a tough personality. He was called Nightcoder because Calvin was good at programming and spent many of his nights coding stuff. Calvin wrote some fan fiction involving Nightcoder, but didn’t have much time to finish and would often run out of ideas.
One day, Calvin herd that the company Geneticorp was trying to create new puffle species by splicing other animal DNA into it. They stated that due to the popularity of the show My Little Equiffle they would try to splice horse DNA with puffles to sell them to the fans of the show, but were looking for penguins who would be willing to take care of these pets so they would know if the genetics were stable. Calvin quickly signed up, and got his own Nightcoder he could have adventures with.
Initially Nightcoder acted like a horse and puffle, but as time went on he became more sentient and could talk which surprised the researchers since the mutated puffles weren't supposed to be able to talk.
Trivia[edit]
- His relationship with his sister is considerably better now that she moved away. They still keep in contact. However he doesn't get along with her boyfriend, who is bad with money.
