Category changes

Right now, this is the only category on the CP-OOC template, which is fine and dandy. Except, this category is for all CP topics, not just those that are canonical. So, I was thinking... should we merge all of the three existing canonical categories (characters, items, and rooms) into one large category? Then we could also slap that new universal category on the OOC template in addition to leaving this template in place, as the template does technically cover CP articles. Can't we add a category within another category? (ie.characters, items and rooms as a subcategory of this main CP category) That way, we don't have to mess about and change a lot. -- Chub777(Talk Page) 06:35, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

We could, but if we did we would still have to add the old canonical categories to canon pages, whereas if there was a universal cat. on the template, it would automatically added (at least to those articles who receive the template in the future; idk about articles that already have the template). I mean, technically we wouldn't even have to merge the old ones, just create a new universal category and add it to the template. But, it'd be useless to have the existing ones at that point. I don't know, it seems like a bit of work, but it'd be fairly easy to do and we wouldn't have to worry about it anymore once it's done. WannaTalk? 15:08, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, this would help people distinguish between Canon articles, and fanon articles (because this category has all of it, where canonical would only have that. WannaTalk? 06:42, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
