You must use your bureaucrat/sysop/patroller/rollback/mom's spaghetti/Str00del powers only for the good of the wiki. We should assume the administrators know what they are doing.

However, users perceiving violations of this rule have a right to complain to the accused on their talk page. The accused has an obligation to respond and defend himself.

Guidelines

Power Abuse includes:

• Significant change of policy without consent/discussion with the community and/or administration
  • Deleting policy without consent/discussion with the community and/or administration
• Significant change of policy for clearly personal* reasons
• Promoting/demoting users (to or from any position) without due process
• Promoting/demoting users for clearly personal reasons
• Blocking users for clearly personal reasons
• Exaggerating blocks outside of the means of common sense
• Deleting pages without due reason such as policy violation or subject of fighting\

*Personal = Clearly opinionated/religious/political etc.

Exemptions

Staff may do as they wish.

Consequences

• The punishment will be discussed by the faithful powers that be and can include a reprimand or rebuttal, all the way up to demotion.
