Club Penguin Fanon Wiki:Portal Designing

Since Portal:X-Virus got some good reception, I am thinking we make more portals, because now we're thinking with portals.

Here are some of the candidates I suggest;

• Darktan Portal (despite my personal distaste for Darktan, Nightmare got one so I think Darktan should too)
• Geography Portal (basically listing all the islands/countries/states of Antarctica)
• GAEMS Portal (it will be named Games Portal; that's just /v/ talking. Lists all the fan gaems in Antarctica)

On a somewhat related note, I am also thinking we redesign the main page again. It will look similar to the X-Virus portal, but with a few changes. I will link to other portals on the main page as well.

Do you guys maybe have any suggestions for other portals? Music Portal? Villain Portal? Feel free to suggest, it is a community project and I like involving the community in stuff :3

The basic criteria for a portal to be made is that they should have a lot of articles revolving around their particular subject. If you have like only 10 articles on one subject then a portal isn't needed for it. Think something like Nightmare's articles. The X-Creatures alone has about 117 articles in it, Darktan's Army has about 96 articles on it, the countries category also has 96 as well.

One final note; the portals will need caretakers (basically maintain the portal, add featured articles etc.) so if you suggest a portal then obviously you will be a caretaker for that portal. Thoughts? Zone 07:40, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Fair call, I was actually thinking of a Snoss portal myself; one of the reasons why I've never read the articles is because they're too big and hard to navigate. Is everyone else okay with a Snoss Portal? Zone 21:02, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm, I am not so sure if there is enough articles in Category:Politicians (note that I am using categories to count the numbers of articles) but it does sound possible to do. Can you link some categories where I can count some more political articles? I'm not saying I won't do the political portal, its just that I am bit concerned about the numbers is all :) Zone 21:02, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Whoa, two categories in the same boat? Gosh, I never knew that this was such a problem; okay then, Politics and History will both get portals. I will get to work on making all the portals during the week; just need to take care of a few things w/ X-Virus portal and then its smooth sailing on ahead. The category and the template are too small enough to become a portal; personally I think the template does a fine enough job as it is. However, if the community agrees for it to be made then I will make a history portal. Who here thinks there should be a history portal? :3 Zone 21:20, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

The template and the category are not the only articles pertaining to the history of Antarctica. As I said before, most of the articles are pretty disorganized.
