Club Penguin Fanon Wiki talk:Code of Conduct and Policies/Images
Why do you have limitations to PNG-only files? That makes no sense whatsoever. --

Well, first off,
1. PNG images are nicer looking for Animated images, while JPEG is better for RL images from a camera.
2. Having a single uniform Image file type helps people find images easier and keeps everything more organized. It is basically a common currency, like the Euro. €
3. Not all images are PNG. Jpegs are occationally allowed if you cant make PNG images or if the image is RL. One other file exception is the GIF, or moving picture.
Hope that helps.

It's not mandatory, it says it:s recommended. If it was mandatory, it'd possibly be the stupidiest policy I've ever seen --PenBlooeR 01:42, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
^^^^ Yeah. Not everyone is able to make PNG images. If you upload a JPEG or some other file, we may not really bother deleting it unless if it takes up a lot of space/data or has something inappropriate...etc.. --
