Donoros pufflei, also known as dark puffle or donor puffle, is a subspecies of M. Pufflei that contains 27 pairs of chromosomes and is under the Moschomicrotheridae family. Formerly classified as a puffle, scientific breakthrough in 2003 revealed difference in chromosome count within elected puffles and were therefore known as donoros pufflei, after donor, signifying the extra blood vessels and organs in the species.
