Doors XP, is an operating system produced by Microhard for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, and media centers. It was released in 2002. The name "XP" is short for "eXPerience."

Doors XP is the successor to both Doors 6.0 and Doors 4Me, and is the first consumer-oriented operating system produced by Microhard to be built on the Doors NT kernel and architecture. Doors XP was first released on August 28, 2002, and over 300 million copies were in use in January 2006, according to an estimate made by scientists. It was succeeded by Doors 7, which was released several years later. Retail sales of Doors XP ceased on June 30, 2008. Micro Hard and Soft continue to still sell copies, but only can be bought direct from there.. XP may continue to be available as these sources run through their inventory or by purchasing Doors 7 and upgrading their XP.

It will be proceeded by Doors 7.0 and currently it's main competitor is Penguin OS.

Trivia[edit]

  • Is a parody of Windows XP.
  • It was known as the most popular Doors ever sold and created - it is now overtaken by Doors 7, but Penguin OS is right behind succeeding and overtaking the position.
