Actually..

Contrary to your belief, TS, Calada does exist. It is located west of the state of New North Etana. So, therefore, it has been subsidized to include the state of New North Etana. Which I really don't like after Icmer, FORCED me to move it. Ugh. Like I said, no one respects Canada or it's parody. Canada is the US' largest trading partner. Actually, Calada IS mentioned in Travelling All of Antarctica and included some important scenes. Actually, i am also going to include Calada in my latest story as well.

Redraw

I'd like to see a complete redraw of this map. Mainly clearup boundaries, remove some non-notable islands, and just make it have nicer consistent fonts and anti-aliasing. --refractor the statue got me high<staff /> 12:07, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

The boundaries' general shape right now is fine. We just need to give them a little roughness to be realistic. IRL boundaries tend to follow rivers.

Old style

I really think we need to put this map back in the old, plain style. Sure, it doesn't look good, but it's more practical. Why?

This map is constantly updated and changed. People add new countries. Countries are moved around. Countries are deleted. It's just not that easy to edit the map when it has gradients and funky backgrounds and stuff like that. At least, not without making the map look like garbage.

I'd keep the mainland as-is, but drop the ocean. It's too irreplaceable if a country is removed or added. Just substitute it with a plain "blue ocean" background. If you're going to go through with this, will either mine or XTUX's assistance be needed? And Explorer, wouldn't that be too long of a task making a map every month? Personally, I don't see how tracking the changes to the official map will benefit us too much (I'm just saying that so that you don't use up too much effort just for a small reason). @Icmer: We can't keep the mainland as-is. It still has gradients, and that makes it hard to edit. And the ocean can be solid-color.

Those are the United Provinces of Antarctica, added to the USA by Agent Johnson. They're so obscure they shouldn't be so big. AG also took some land from surrounding states to use as land for the UPR too, without their owners' permission. @Ninj - I am now considering the former Viking Empire to become the Republic of Frostize, since the capital is Frostize, and I believe that Frostize will become the seat for the capital of the AU. The Republic of Frostize is the parody of the Republic of Venice.
