Fort Cheese, or Fort Caseusopolis, is an Acadian fort on an island of the coast of Caseusopolis. Acadia built the fort in 2010 when it bought the island from Caseusopolis.`The fort is built for Acadia to protect Caseusopolis and for Acadia to maintain power in the area.
History[edit]
Before its purchase in 2010, Fort Cheese was an uninhabited island off the coast of Caseusopolis. Then, in 2008, Acadia, looking to set up influence in places, decided to buy the island from Caseusopolis. Caseusopolis sold the island to Acadia, and construction on the fort started that same year. It was finished in 2010, and Acadian soldiers were sent to occupy it. In 2014, during the Frosian War, the fort was attacked, and the fort's defenses were tested for the first time. Despite being outnumbered, the force inside were able to hold back, and the enemy retreated.
Government[edit]
Since Fort Cheese is a colony of Acadia, the head of state is the President of Acadia, Brant11. The territory is governed by an Administrator, which is the the Acadian Defense Forces' equivalent to a governor. Since 90% of the population is military personnel, the territory is under martial law, with exceptions for non military personnel, although the exceptions are never used.
Economy[edit]
As Fort Cheese is a military base, there aren't any economical statistics for the territory. Most of the economy is the shipping of goods for the military and their families. There are a few stores, where soldiers and their families can buy certain goods.
Geography[edit]
Currently, the whole island is developed, with a few small parks, which is just a plot of land with a few trees. Before the island was bought from Caseusopolis, the whole island was relatively flat and was covered in trees.
Transport[edit]
Because the island is small, around 20 sq miles, most transportation is done by walking. There are a few roads, such as the Fort Cheese Ring Road, which, as the name suggests, makes a circle around the whole island. There are also a few other roads.
