Well, we did. Club Penguin Fanon Wiki officially has the most juice when you type in Club Penguin Fanon Wiki. If you do not know what I'm talking about, then you should check out JuiceWatch, a community project to see how much juice we had - in other words, how far were we up the list when he typed in 'Club Penguin Fanon Wiki' on six search engines; Google, Bing, Ask, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and SurfCanyon, along with maMMa: the Mother of All Search Engines, to determine our overall juice (in other words, the average ranking). For the pleasure of everyone on Fanon, I've written a short log of what happened:

  • 05/12/10: JuiceWatch is found with early successes on Google with a 9th place ranking and 7th on Ask. As for other browsers, we had no juice, although JuiceWatch soon got to work by submitting us to directories and web browsers, with I submitting it to Bing and to several small, unknown directories. Later on in the day, my submission to those directories worked, with Dan, the second user to sign up to JuiceWatch, reporting that our Google ranking had raised to 5th.
  • 06/12/10: TurtleShroom, XTUX345, Chub777, Speeddasher and Andrew sign up to JuiceWatch. TurtleShroom adds maMMa as a browser for JuiceWatch to watch, since it determines overall ranking. Wikia seemed to had been at work as we suddenly dropped back to 9th on Google. We learn that Seahorseruler has the Google Webmaster Tools.
  • 07/12/10: Nothing much happens, although TurtleShroom makes a quick edit.
  • 11/12/10: Flystar becomes the newest member of JuiceWatch.
  • 21/12/10: Four days from Christmas Day, three from Christmas Eve but no luck as in 10 days, we've only managed to drop to 10th in our Google rankings according to Chub.
  • 25/12/10: Andrew wakes up on Christmas Day and opens a present revealing more Google juice - we've raised to 5th place. XTUX submits us to DMOZ and plans on submitting us to Yahoo Directory on the 2/01/11.
  • 29/12/10: An IP (XTUX's) informs us that our Bing ranking is now 5th place.
  • 02/01/11: XTUX hasn't submitted us to Yahoo yet but we're in AboutUs.Org.
  • 03/01/11: On DuckDuckGo, we are 2nd, Yahoo, 4th, despite not being submitted to the Yahoo Directory and on maMMa 3rd. XTUX is unable to submit us to Yahoo as he needs a Yahoo ID.
  • 05/01/11: Icmer edits the article to tell all JuiceWatchers that we are ranked 3rd on Bing and Ask.
  • 08/01/11: XTUX finds out that Bing only lists our main page and not the entire site (sorry, didn't ask for webmaster tools, just submitted us to the directory). On the brighter side, he has created an ID so he submitted us to Yahoo's Directory.
  • 17/02/11: After a month and a week of inactivity, Andrew is able to get us webmaster tools.
  • 19/02/11: Andrew confirms he and Seahorse have the Google Webmaster Tools.
  • 04/03/11: A fortnight later and all turns bad; our Google and Bing Juice has suddenly disappeared, with a massive rank drop.
  • 27/03/11: Icmer is able to end the panic; the short drop ended and we were back on the map.
  • 05/08/11: Icmer's message was music to my ears, and I'm sure to everyone elses'; 1ST PLACE IN GOOGLE!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG.
  • 28/08/11: I make a quick sweep of every single browser to check our ranking. On maMMa, we are first second only to the old UNCP - and I can see why - well done.

Well, with that over, I can declare the de facto end of JuiceWatch, although for official reasons, it will exist de jure, so that people can conduct quick sweeps every month. Search Canyon doesn't really matter, seeing as I know a lot of people who downloaded, then, err, uploaded it? As for all the members, you will all receive your template and awards soon enough - just give me some time. Give me suggestions for the name of the award - I don't know, whatever you want to call it - the Medal of Juice? --Agent Johnson |  I'm Brit-ish and cause of that, I'm Liberal. 04:03, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

PS: On UNCPW there will be our own JuiceWatch project.

Discussion[edit]

  • I'm sure one of the reasons why the Wikia site fell was because it's main page was blanked, and later deleted. The Icon was changed and whoever was writing on that wiki was writing nonsence about porcupines. --Swiss Ninja Signature.png User Talk SN.png 04:13, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

I think Google doesn't have our whole site crawled, just the mainpage. We need to fix that somehow. Icmer In Nyc 78% of PC gamers have played Minecraft. No wonder why our eyesight is so bad. 11:28, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
