Human Potion
Alyssa was up all night, working up a new potion. She combined powders and thick liquids, removed conflicting elements to prevent explosion, and occasionally sniffed the brew and made extremely creepy disgusted faces just to see how it was cooking. Her assistant, Caitlin, who can shape-shift into her stirring stick and wand, transformed back into her Demon Puffle self, and nearly fell into the potion, shouting, "WA WA WA WA WA!" as she used telekinesis to hold onto the inner lip of the boiling pot.
Alyssa flashed her devilish assistant a stern look and said, "The human potion is in its third prototype stage. Let me use you as a...guinea pig'." She laughed a bit as she pulled on some protective gloves, and used a small test tube to scoop up the mixture. After it was in its container, the young witch held it towards her servant's mouth. "Now drink up. We need to see if this is safe for penguins to use."
Caitlin groaned as she remembered the first two times she had tested the potion. The first time, she was accidentally transformed into a half-puffle, half-human hybrid with a very large nose. The second time it worked, but she could only speak Japalandese, and a very stuttered, lispy version at that. Reluctantly, as Alyssa shoved the bottle near her servant's lips, Caitlin began to sip the mixture as the witch tipped the container slowly. The puffle hopped off the edge of the pot, and began to bounce towards the table. However, the potion kicked in, and Caitlin was immediately transformed into a tall, slender human, with regular features. Her clothes were generated as soon as her transformation began.
"Why am I so tall? And what happened to my telekinesis?"
Caitlin looked down and saw Alyssa, smiling slightly. "IT WORKED!!" Alyssa screamed, full of joy. She began to grab multiple test tubes as she bottled up the liquid. "We will sell this to the public, then go on an evil human rampage!"
After Alyssa had her "Human Potion" stand set up, she displayed the bottles and played very persuading music on a portable boombox. Caitlin pulled up a penguin-sized chair to sit in and watch by, but it was much too small, so she took a seat in the snow-covered grass, never mind the numbness of her butt due to the cold.
Soon, Rocket Slug was standing in front of Alyssa, glaring down over her glasses.
"You like my new hipster glasses?" Rocket asked, pulling them off her face and wiggling her flipper throughout the place where a lens would be. "I just popped out the lenses of some 3D ones. Pretty cool, huh?" She put them in her pocket and grabbed a wallet. "How much is your potion?"
Alyssa tapped her beak and said, "Ten coins."
Rocket dumped out the wallet. At least a thousand coins, gum wrappers, a debit card, a Snowtendo cartridge, and a wadded-up love letter from Dark Lorgas fell out. RS leaned over and counted the money. Although she was clever, math was quite difficult for her, and instead of taking extra-curriculars at school, she had to take first through third grade math. "One, two, three..."
About fifteen minutes later, Alyssa was raging. "I'LL TAKE YOUR CARD!!" She swiped the card off the table and scanned it. "There. It's paid for."
