iRed Browser is the official browser of Red Island. It was made in late 2010, and will be installed on all new computers in 2011.

History[edit]

The iRed Browser concept was though of on December 27, 2010. Iamred777 desperately tried to get coders and internet nerds to make this browser and it was successfully completed on December 30, 2010. Beta testing was thought of by the coders, but they quickly scrapped the idea. It is widely thought that it will be the default browser of Red Island. It is expected to debut in Hailvale when the next version is realeased.

Features[edit]

iRed is availiable in 2 languages (English and Reddish) and tireless work is being put in to program a third language, Esperanto in the next version. BAckgrounds can be obtained by going to www.backgrounds.iRedBrowser.red. Lots of new features are expected in the next update, including a way to translate English and Reddish.

Reviews[edit]

On the homepage of iRed, iRed users have the chance to click a link and review the web browser. The first ever review was from "GlowLight" and he/she critised the move to make iRed default on all computers by 2011. Another review by XTUX Hun (a computer in a penguin's body) stated that after it had been forced on him he had numurous crashes, and loading his homepage took hours instead of the usual 5 minutes. On the review page System Operators (namely Iamred777 and his team of coders) have the chance to reply to comments, however if a penguin asks something along the lines of "What'll be in the next update" an operators usually replies "Stay tuned!".

Critism[edit]

The hot topic of critism is about making iRed default by Febuary/March time 2011. Since many of these comments have been flooding in the iRed team announced you may download another browser (such as Adventure) and use that as default. Many users have also stated that it is extremely buggy and crashes frequently.

e-mailing[edit]

iRed has announced that e-mails may be worked out in the next couple of updates. It is though, by adding e-mails, they will get more popularity and more penguins will download the browser. The iRed team, however already have emails, such as iamred@iRed.red. The new e-mail for average, non-team members has yet be announced, but it is though to be example@RedMail.red according to several, well-informed sources and leaks.
