I Gave Up is a proposed "grand finale" of the Bureau of Fiction by the strongly anti-BOF Jones Family. Jointly penned by a combination of the entire surviving family, it was submitted to the BOF as a means to drump up discouragement for the brutally slow, light workweek that was blistering corporate morale.
The BOF had a contingency in the event of total inactivity, which had been discovered by Baldurshroom in his illegal research of the BOF that eventually destroyed him. He never had the chance to try his hand at forcing an invocation of Operation Grand Finale, as it was called, until 2012.
-but hey, isn't the best way to win by causing your opponent to forfeit?
(What the family doesn't know is that if they actually do convince the BOF to give up, Operation Grand Finale would be to shut the universe down into a suspended animation, freezing time, space, and continuity, with only three of the Masters of the Universe untouched.)

Aftermath[edit]
The song was very catchy and very convincing to the BOF. The Board of Fiction nearly even agreed to set a countdown, but Iceflower sent a final plea for a renewal of the wiki's infinite timeline, and with her touching, beautiful words, they decided against it at the last second.
Even so, TurtleShroom and family hope they'll change their minds, they themselves totally unaware of the repercussiosn... again.
