Joseon

Joseon is an island in Asiapelago and is located west of Japaland. From 1912 to 2010, Joseon island was under the oppressive rule of the Japalandese, who cut the island off from trade from the rest of the Antarctic. Hence, Joseon remained as a time capsule for 100 long years, until the Great Revolution of 2010. In the Great Revolution of 2010, Kim Il Sunguin led a band of rebels in the northern part of Joseon to liberate the island. He eventually received the help of East Pengolia, who began to invade the Northern part of the island. This prompted the USA to invade the south, thus ending the 98 years of complete Japalandese control of the island. The island was then split into two countries- the South became a Democratic Republic that was set up by the USA, while East Pengolia set up a Socialist state in the North, with Kim Il Sunguin as the Supreme Leader and eventual Eternal President. The border between the North and South have become increasingly hostile, and has been considered one of the most dangerous places in Antarctica.

There is still no talk of any serious reunification, nor will Eternal President Kim Il Sunguin allow it, though he supports it and his citizens dream it.

There are two countries under the name Joseon.

• Republic of Joseon - Referred to simply as South Joseon. It is a modern and successful country that is a strong ally with the USA and produces many electronics like it's mother country and competitor, Japaland.

• Democratic Penguin's Republic of Joseon - Infamously known as North Joseon, although it is never called that inside the nation. North Joseon is a complete contrast to South Joseon- The north has many large apartments that were designed by East Pengolian architects in the large cities, while the nation's villages are rather poor and must struggle to find food, at times. Their leader is Comrade Kim Il Sunguin, who is the Supreme Leader and worshiped by everyone in the country. Yagan Ilban is rather oblivious of the poverty of the countryfolk, and believes just like the rest of his people that his nation is the best. North Joseon has a huge army that is ten times larger than the army of South Joseon, hence the USA has dispatched USA soldiers to guard the South Joseon border to prepare for the North Joseon invasion that Yagan Ilban is intending to make...eventually.
