Lü Family

The Lü Family is a dynasty of gangsters who founded the Lü Triad (吕家三合会). The current head of the family is Lü Haowei, with Uncle Lü (Haowei and Haoyang's grandfather) being the oldest and Austin Lü being the youngest. Beside of the Triad branch, there are also a banking branch, a military branch (that's why the most common surname of high-ranking military officers in Zhou is Lü), a Politics branch and a Law & Order branch.

Origins & Wealth

• The Triad Branch of the Lü Dynasty is the original. They amassed an enormous wealth through 5 generations of controlling the largest criminal organization in Asiapelago and monopolize the gambling industry in Asiapelago. They owned numerous casinos and rackets in Asiapelago.

• The Banking Branch of the Lü Family earned their fortune by starting a bank. The bank is named the Asiapelagon Inter Archipelago Bank (known as AIAB). It is the largest bank in Asiapelago and one of the major bank in the Fanon World. The Politics Branch originated from this branch. Their current fortune is estimated at 36 billion Pebbles. But some crazy lunatics think that the Banking Branch's fortune is over 1 trillion Pebbles. Smarter conspiracy theorists believed their fortune to be lower-at a "humble" 135 billion Pebbles. Lü Haoyang was from this branch, but he joined the Lü Triad anyway.

• The rest of the three branches-the Politics, Military and Law & Order branch, earned their fortune mainly by emblezzement and smart investments into companies. So far, nobody in the Politics branch is the Head of State or Head of Government of a country. The Politics branch started when a member of the Banking Branch became the Finance Minister of Malesia. In revenge for breaking up the AIAB into several other banks, the Finance Minister emblezzed million (if not billions of Pebbles) from the national surplus,thus starting the Politics branch. Their fortune is estimated to be 14 billion Pebbles.

• The military branch worked closely to the Lü Triad's arms dealers, supplying them with weapons. Some of them had been Field Marshals of some armies.

• The Law & Order branch-along with the Triad, Banking and Military branch, is the oldest branches in the Lü Family. Some of them are Comissioners of Police Force, while others are extremely intelligent (and crooked) lawyers serving dictators. Fortune is at 7 billion Pebbles.

• The wealth of the Lü Family (when there are no branches) before starting a Triad was only 25,000 Pebbles. But soon after starting the Lü Triad, the Triad Branch (known as the Main Branch) earned a staggering 54,500,000,000 Pebbles in the current generation (Haowei and Haoyang). The time where earnings are at a peak is during the 4th and 5th generations, where the Lü Family began to invest into other rackets and fronts. Ultimately, this aggressive investment plan got Lü Haowei's father exiled by the Zhouese government to Calada. The Main Branch's current yearly income is 750,000,000 Pebbles.

• The banking branch of the family is parodied on the real life Rothschild Family.
• An average Lü member is estimated to be worth at least 2.5 million Pebbles.
• Their greatest achievement in the legitimate world is building the tallest skyscraper in Honk Gong. The skyscraper is used as the headquarters for the Asiapelagon Inter Archipelago Bank (AIAB), the largest bank in Asiapelago, who once held a monopoly in the banking sector.
• Some of the poltical, banking, military and Law & Order branches' members held offices and are government officials in Zhou. And since all the other branches are cronies to the Traid Branch, this has resulted in a shadow government controlled by Lü Haowei.
