The AirTerra Major League Rugby, the Major League Rugby, AirTerra MLR or the MLR, is the tier-one league for Rugby Union for the United States of Antarctica, Freezeland and UnitedTerra. It is contested annually by several teams. Current record for wins goes to the Aquarius Falcons, who have won it 6 times, followed by Frostborough Freezers at 4 and 3 to the TerraMount City Rangers, the current champions. Mattress Village and Polaris have also had excellent records, always finishing in the top 4.
It is considered a great honour for Rugby players to play in the MRL. Being the top-tier league in three countries, the contestants are considered to be 'the greatest Rugby clubs in Antarctica'. It is the third most watched league in Antarctica, behind Football and Ice Hockey. 30 teams contest it annually, 10 each in the USA, Freezeland and UnitedTerra. All the teams play each other, however 3 teams from each country are relegated every year to the league below (Super League Rugby for the USA, Freezelandian Rugby Premiership for Freezeland and UnitedTerra Rugby Premiership for UnitedTerra).
