Nightmare Epic/Plot Revision
Due to changes in Nightmare and the X-Virus storyline, we need to update what is going to happen in Nightmare Epic. I've pieced together what User:Mectrixctic has made, and what everyone else has made. Please give your input on the discussion page and feel free to suggest any ideas we can put into NME (NME, being Nightmare Epic)
By reading this, you'll begin to notice that there's really very little changes. However, even though they're just minor changes I still recommend you read them. I'll try to keep a tl;dr version during the end of each topic so that I don't drone on.
This is pretty short, simply because I am just stating the changes we will make.

Opening[edit]
Okay, so in the beginning we have all the X-Antibodies and the Good Guys fighting each other just like we originally intended. However, this time Zone isn't going to break the fourth wall and talk to the reader.
What is happening as the fighting is going on is that Zone is hearing voices in his head (these voices, being the King of Sorrow) telling him to release him. Zone attempts to block out these voices when suddenly the King of Sorrow forces himself out of Zone, causing Zone immense pain in the process. As he thinks this is probably death (Zone isn't going to die, so you censorfriends can stop what you're going to write now) he begins to have a flashback sequence, like one of those "life flashes before eyes" scenarios.
Now what is ultimately happening is Nightmare wants to release the King of Sorrow. The reason being is that Nightmare IS the Queen of Sorrow. However, Super Nightmare is the real Queen of Sorrow. Nightmare herself is just dormant. She needs the Destruction Gems to reclaim her title.
So basically, during the opening;
- King of Sorrow pops out of Zone
- Nightmare activates the Destruction Gems (by this point she will already of had them all) and becomes Super Nightmare
Prologue[edit]
Not much to say here since everything's fine as it is. However, we'll add the battle between Marcus Kwiksilver and Nightmare, and how the KoS came to power.
Beginning[edit]
Same as before; 2 year anniversary of Great Darktonian Pie War. Everyone's celebrating yadda yadda yadda. Theangol (the original Darktan) is apologetic, although people question whether or not he's really reformed.
Nightmare sends Zone out to spy on the Good Guys and relay information that will be useful to her. Zone passes on information to Nightmare by sleeping. Although Zone is a hybrid and isn't affected by permanent REM sleep, Nightmare can still enter his dreams if he sleeps. SO he's busy relaying info back and forth to Nightmare. Kwiksilver is of course, reluctant to let Zone join them, but after the events of Phantasm, he lets him join.
Now while Zone is spying on Good Guys, Nightmare will send Metal Explorer, Lizlord, and IcE out to find the Destruction Gems. If the Good Guys try a move, Zone will simply go into sleep-state and tell Nightmare beforehand, so Nightmare pretty much has them in checkmate. However, what Nightmare hasn't counted on is that Zone is well, incredibly sneaky. He wants to make an army of his own, and he's got his eye on Darktan II and his army. Kill is sent by Zone to spy on Darktan's Army, just to see if they're up to anything. Meanwhile, Zone is busy trying to figure out how the X-Virus works. What Zone plans to do is alter the properties of the X-Virus so that anyone infected with Zone's X-Virus obeys him, and he's going to get Kill to poison Darktan's Army with it whilst giggling like an idiot in the process. He's going to use this army to intervene the war and ultimately come out on top.
News seems to travel fast in Antarctica, and it isn't long until Speeddasher and Tails6000 warn everyone that Metal Explorer, Lizlord, and IcE are stealing the Destruction Gems. The Good Guys then travel to the site of the first Destruction Gem, but to their shock Nightmare's Army is prepared for them because Zone felt like it was naptime. The Good Guys are fighting a losing battle, which ultimately leads them to retreating - giving Nightmare the first Destruction Gem. As Nightmare gets her hands on the first Destruction Gem, Zone begins to hear voices in his head. It would seem that each time Nightmare gets a Destruction Gem, the more violent these voices become.
As they return to Club Penguin Island, people are starting to wonder why Nightmare was so prepared for them. Rumors of a mole (spy) within the good guys are starting to rise. Fingers are getting pointed, and Zone STILL continues to giggle like an idiot, looking back at all the chaos he's causing. Speeddasher is the only one that gets suspicious of Zone, and questions why he is almost always seen sleeping. Zone merely states that he's nocturnal, although this doesn't convince Speed very well.
So what ends up happening is Zone flies off at night, but unbeknowest to him he's getting followed by Speeddasher. Zone and Kill meet up to exchange information, their conversation being overheard by Speeddasher. From this conversation, its confirmed that Zone is the spy and Speeddasher then runs off to tell the Good Guys. However, he's seen by Zone and they start fighting. Speeddasher nearly defeats Zone, but then Zone pulls some dishonorable tactics, like getting Kill to fight with him instead of it being 1 on 1. Zone and Kill's attacks are synchronized with each other, which ultimately beat Speeddasher. Speed is then brought to Nightmare and imprisoned.
tl;dr;
- Zone is a spy (obviously), sends info to Nightmare when he sleeps
- Speeddasher gets imprisoned
- Zone is preparing his own X-Virus
Middle[edit]
To cause a little bit of chaos (because Zone is an avid crusader of the lulz) he tells the Good Guys that Speeddasher has been kidnapped by Nightmare. With the Good Guys temporarily focusing on rescuing Speeddasher, Zone then goes into sleep mode and warns Nightmare that the Good Guys are attempting to rescue him. While the Good Guys are distracted by Speeddasher's imprisonment, Nightmare tells Zone to gather the second and third Destruction Gems. After Nightmare and Zone are finished talking, Nightmare then asks Darktan II if he would like to ally with her, saying that together they could bring Antarctica to its knees. Darktan II agrees to these terms, on the condition that Nightmare spare as many Good Guys as possible since Darktan likes slavery. Only in dire need should the Good Guys be dealt with. Nightmare then orders Lizlord, IcE, and Metal Explorer to gather the fourth, fifth, and sixth Destruction Gems. The trio split up and go to the burial sites of the gems.
Now, Kill has her own plans. She wants to know what exactly Nightmare is up to, since she's gathered that Nightmare's plot isn't exactly a mission of conquest. It's the Destruction Gems that really interest Nightmare. Kill then ventures to Arda, where she is trying to find out about Nightmare's past. Triskelle helps her since he can tell that despite her working with Zone, Kill is actually a good person. They work together to dig up Nightmare's history, and when they come close to discovering the truth Nightmare herself appears before them, mortally wounding Triskelle and knocking him unconscious (no, he's not going to die). Nightmare approaches Kill and rewards her efforts with a brief glimpse of the future.
In this future, Super Nightmare and King of Sorrow are walking towards a throne room. Super Nightmare sits on the right side, King of Sorrow sits on the left side. They merge together to become a being of immense power, Orphan, that brings the destruction of Antarctica. The future vision starts to get a bit hazy, then it clears up to a ruined Antarctica; buildings have been reduced to rubble, the sky has changed color to blood red, and the good guys lay unconscious on the ground as Orphan rises up from the ashes and brings armageddon to the world.
The future vision stops here. Nightmare lets Kill go, since she knows that Kill won't be able to reach Zone in time.
The Good Guys then begin to storm Nightmare Crater, looking for Speeddasher. Nightmare then asks Darktan for his assistance, so Darktan's Army then charge into the battle, followed by X-Antibodies. While everyone else is distracted from the battle, Tails6000 zips past and frees Speeddasher. Speeddasher tells Tails that Nightmare wasn't planning to conquer Antarctica but instead gather all of the Destruction Gems. Because nobody is guarding the burial sites, the gems are in great danger. The Good Guy armies retreat, and head for the final Destruction Gem.
Meanwhile, Zone has already gotten the second and third Destruction Gems and has sent them over to Nightmare. He's already figured out how the X-Virus works; the ones who obey Nightmare are in permanent REM sleep, so he's come to the conclusion that all the X-Antibodies are literally dreaming whatever twisted vision Nightmare has planned. Originally, he thought that Nightmare could only enter dreams when someone is asleep. To use this to his advantage, Zone decides that he needs to become a ghost (again) so he travels to the gateway between universes to free Raziel. Their reunion is awkward, as Zone was the one that sent Raziel back to his own timeline. However, after explaining the situation to him, Raziel agrees to help his brother. Little does Zone know that Raziel has his fingers crossed. It will take some time for Zone to fade from this world, so while he waits, he sneaks into the Darktonian Realm, gives Kill the special X-Virus, and she poisons the army. As Zone is flying to the Darktonain Realm, the voices in his head appear again; these ones being more frequent than the last time.
Lizlord, Metal Explorer, and IcE have already gotten the gems and are now advancing towards the final gem - Nightmare's Army escorting them. Darktan's Army start to feel sick, so they aren't in this battle. Zone then goes to the final Destruction Gem site as well, but is stoppped by Nightmare. Zone asks her if she requires Kill and him on the battlefield, but Nightmare tells Zone to stay and watch.
tl;dr:
- Speed gets freed, warns Good Guys
- Everyone is heading towards the final Destruction Gem
- Nightmare puts Kill into Bizarro World and Kill sees a vision of the future where armageddon hits the world
- Raziel gets freed, helps Zone become ghost Zone
End[edit]
While everyone is fighting on the site of the final Destruction Gem (its basically X-Antibody VS penguins), Nightmare then sneaks off and takes the final Destruction Gem for herself. With all seven Destruction Gems in her hand, all she has to do now is awaken the King of Sorrow. Kill has rushed towards Zone about to tell him what's going to happen, but Nightmare has already gotten the gems and Kill has noticed that Zone's skin is starting to turn that same dark blue color the King of Sorrow has, so all she can do is sit there and watch. Zone meanwhile, is oblivious to the situation.
Everything mentioned in the opening now leads up to this point.
The King of Sorrow has emerged from Zone, leaving him lying on the ground and what little strength he had was fading. The King of Sorrow however, is different in appearance to the King of Sorrow that attacked Yoenah. This King of Sorrow however, is a penguin. It would seem that this is the origial KoS's form. KoS and Nightmare then fly off towards Arda, where their throneroom is located.
Kill stands there over Zone and tries to help him. However, Raziel appears and plunges his sword directly into Kill, leaving her mortally wounded. Zone watches in horror as Kill slowly dies. Raziel however, has a wickedly evil grin on his face, and flees the scene. In her death rose, Kill tells Zone what Nightmare and KoS are going to do, promises to be forever by his side, and then dies. Zone then becomes ghost Zone (since Raziel is present in the Antarctica timeline) and orders his personal X-Antibodies to go to the throneroom in Arda and kill Nightmare and KoS. He then warns Kwiksilver about what Nightmare and KoS are trying to do, and a group of good guys volunteer to go to Arda, while the rest are busy fighting off the X-Antibodies.
Zone then becomes corporeal again, his normal form returned to him. It would seem that Raziel has left the timeline. The order he issued to his X-Antibodies still stands, as they prepare for the final battle. The group of Good Guys go to the throne room, as well as Zone and his army to see Nightmare unleashing the Destruction Gems and becoming Super Nightmare. Super Nightmare and KoS then sit on their thrones and become Orphan (previously known as Epic Nightmare). Orphan gives the whole speech before the final battle, and the battle is ensured.
As everyone is fighting Orphan, earthquakes begin to rumble. Orphan's existence itself, threatens the world. Orphan pretty much wipes out Zone's personal army, leaving them unconscious. It would seem that everyone's attacks aren't doing much to Orphan. Everything seems hopeless.
However, the X-Antibodies begin to see the real world for what it is, since Nightmare is no longer able to control them because she fused with KoS and became Orphan. The X-Antibodies then stop fighting with the good guys and join them at the final battle in Arda. Orphan is pretty much slapping everyone's crap at this point. Everyone in the battle scene is unconscious. Zone then has a POWER OF FRIENDSHIP complex and has Kill's power as well as his own. He lunges towards Orphan, wounding it. The sky begins to turn the red color out of Kill's vision; Orphan is pretty angry. A battle between powered up Zone and Orphan is ensured, Orphan obviously beats Zone, but Orphan is fairly wounded from his battle with Zone. Zone lies there unconscious. However, the Good Guys and the X-Antibodies then appear at the throne room and beat the crap out of Orphan. Orphan then fades away from existence, and armageddon is stopped.
tl;dr (spoilers)
- OH MAI GAD KILL DIES TO RAZIEL
- OH MAI GAD SUPER NIGHTMARE AND KOS MERGE TOGETHER, SUPER NIGHTMARE WAS THE QUEEN OF SORROW ALL ALONG
- OH MAI GAD THE X-ANTIBODIES ACTUALLY JOIN FORCES WITH THE GOOD GUYS TO FIGHT ORPHAN
Epilogue[edit]
Hospital sure is going to have a fun time. Everyone gets treated for their wounds, and peace reigns in Antarctica once again. The X-Antibodies are now friendly with everyone, even Gargantuan seems to be getting along well with Speeddasher.
A small funeral is held for Kill, everyone giving their condolences to Zone. Zone however, swears a vendetta against Raziel. This kicks off the Zero Squadron and Tales of Memory. (note: Kwik we'll have to change them abit, but it can still work since Tales of Memory is still young and Zero Squadron hasn't been made yet)
Q&A[edit]
Question 1: Why is the original Darktan barely involved in this story?
- Because since he's a frail, old guy now he barely has any use. He is mentioned in the beginning as a small cameo though.
Question 2: Where is my character in this story?
- Probably fighting alongside the good guys. Those who don't have an X-Antibody need not apply for this story.
- Also, if you don't have an X-Antibody but are going to make one anyway just so you can get a part at least put some effort into the X-Antibody would you?
Question 3: Why is my character in such a small role and yours in in a big role?
- Honestly, I could give less than two craps about my characters. People can do whatever they like with them. However, Mec's original story plot had Zone as a major character in this so I'm trying to keep Mec's changes as well as updated changes.
Question 4: These changes are too short and boring.
- Not a question, but you are welcome to suggest ideas on the discussion page. I just sum it all up as short as I can.
SO that concludes this revision. Feel free to discuss plot changes on the discussion page and put your input in by all means, this IS a community project after all.
