Penguin Civilization is the name often attributed to McClark's speech on 7th January, 2016, in front of the Parliament of the United Provinces, regarding the East Pengolian downing of a Snowinn jet over Asiapelago international waters. The speech was aired live on TV, and over 18,000,000 penguins throughout Snowiny and in other countries tuned in to watch the speech. It has been recognized as one of the greatest speeches in history, and the consequences of the speech were the rise of pacifism throughout Antarctica and increased Snowinn patriotism and desire to keep this peace.

The Speech[edit]

"Good evening. I am speaking to all penguins around Antarctica, straight from the parliament of our country.

On the 5th of January, East Pengolian fighters shot down one of our jets, the MiG-29, flying peacefully over Asiapelago international waters, in one of our routine patrols of the region. We did nothing to harm the East Pengolians in any way. We weren’t threatening their territory, nor aiming to shoot down their fighter planes, and we were barely even close to each other. We, the people of the United Provinces and the world, heard those news in great shock and fear from a nuclear war.

The only thing I can do is do my best to prevent any kind of nuclear conflict, but make them explain those unprovoked actions they have committed and make them pay for those actions. We have no desire to destroy this world. In the last 16 years, Antarctica saw over 15 wars with tons of innocent lives lost. We haven’t had a single year with a break, with complete peace, where we all respect each other and find each other equal.

We have advanced so far during those 16 years. We have went to space for the first time, and we built nations from scratch such as Shops Island. The penguins grew significantly in technology and have discovered many far away planets and civilizations, such as the Notron civilizations. And I don’t think any of us here, in this continent, aim to destroy penguin existence as we know it, and destroy all the work of a several centuries.

Not even the most brutal dictator in Antarctica wishes to destroy the entire world, make it a barren wasteland and kill all our hard work we put into this great society we have today. We love our world and we want it to continue thriving and existing forever.

We in the United Provinces will continue negotiating with the East Pengolians. We promise, there won’t be no war, there will be no mass destruction of either side of this crisis. We want no war. We want eternal peace and prosperity, and freedom to all penguins alive.

There will be times in the future, probably even very close future, when desperate measures such as use of force, will have to be used, when there is no other way to solve a conflict, when the other side refuses to enter negotiations and refuses to make peace. We hope to solve this conflict in the best possible way, and if force must be used, I will use it in the most honourable way possible, with the least casualties and least penguin victims.

Now I can’t guarantee peace. I want peace. But, global peace right now, is in hands of our communist counterparts in East Pengolia. Penguin civilization lays in their hands. May peace last in this nation and all around it.

Thank you very much, and may you all be blessed. ”
