Port Blue is an Islander island colony some distance away from the Sub-Antarctic Islands. Military and trade is conducted in the western part of the island, while residential areas are located in the eastern part of the island. The island ended up in UPI's hands after the USA asked Penguio (which recently merged into the UPI) to wipe out a rebel group based on the island in exchange for keeping the island. The USA were fighting a war and didn't have time to interfere with Port Blue at the time.
History[edit]
Port Blue was discovered in 1715 by a Frankterran explorer named Jean Louis Marquette. He found the island on accident, and he named the island, "Île d'Azur", or Azure Island, due to it's azure colored water and seemingly warm climate that reminded him of the Frankterran city of Awesome. He started a small fishing town there known as Nouvelle Awesome, or New Awesome, though an earthquake in 1820 caused the destruction of the town, and everyone left. The Island was then sold to Puffle'and a year later, who purchased the island for 500,000 Ounces. The Puffish did not colonize it and they used it as fishing grounds. They renamed the island from Île d'Azure to Blue Island, and later Port Blue. The Island stayed Puffish until it was taken over by Revolutionist forces during the Colonial Antarctica War, and the Revolutionists claimed the island for the USA once it formed in 2000. The Revolutionists became official Soldiers of the USA, and they made the island a prison and a base. In 2002, the War of 2002 broke out, and the Freezelandians invaded the island. The soldiers were driven out and the prisoners were released; they became known as the "Port Blue Rebels", and the USA sent Penguio to squash them. In return, Penguio claimed the island as their own. Almost all of the rebels who they fought had been killed or deleted in the intense takeover. The remaining rebels were sent back to the USA. After Penguio merged with the United Penguin Islands, it became a territory of the United Penguin Islands.
Places of Interest[edit]
Port Blue doesn't have much around the island. The main place of intrest is the Port Blue City Wall, followed by the Port Blue Antarctic Army Camp, which covers at least half of the island. It is also has a beautiful countryside on the west part of the island.
Education[edit]
The west side of the island has fair education, including fully maintable primary schools and high schools. However, the east side of the island, being an army base has a Junior Military School and a Army Base which is military education. It however does not have as advanced education as any of the Mainland UPI Islands, or Tel Ah Phon.
Government[edit]
Port Blue is a territory of the United Penguin Islands, therefore it is mainly controlled by UPI's emperor, Tom Saworton, however he does not have much time to interfere with the territory, therefore there is a parliament that decides on all decisions of the territory, however Saworton still overwatches lots of the decisions in his spare time.
