Revival is the second studio album by Antarctican recording artist and producer, GGD. It was released on January 11, 2016 by Hood Records for CD purchase and digital download. It follows the career upset single "I Am Fail", accidentally released in November 2010 following his debut album Gaget Duude and being dropped from Club Penguin Music Records. Rebranding himself simply as GGD (rather than Gary the Gaget Dude) and shedding his previous pop-orientated image, Revival serves as his comeback album after serving a five-year hiatus from music.
As producers were scared to work with GGD after his tarnished image, GGD mainly self-produced the album at first, but after the first single started to gain momentum many producers such as Zippy Penguin, DJ Crab and Ray Kodo came to give their beats to GGD. Producers such as ATUM WiLL MADE IT, Skyman and Shade the Puffolian worked with GGD from the start and had faith in his comeback.
Revival ultimately revived GGD's career, entering the CP and UnitedTerra charts at number 2 and number 5 in the States. The lead single "Hop In" did exceptionally well, dubbed as 'The Most Catchiest Hook of the Year' by a few publications. The follow-up, "Brand New", also performed well, giving the album momentum and hype when it was released the following year. The album is scheduled for a repackaged re-release with multiple big-name features and songs.

Background[edit]
After the release of "I Am Fail" in November 2010, although it was a large success, it humiliated Gaget Dude's credibility as an artist. As a result, he was dropped from Club Penguin Music Records. GGD went into hiding and made no public appearances for several months. Eventually, he returned by starting at the bottom doing local DJ gigs across Antarctica whilst under a new identity. Around mid-2013 the song's popularity died off and no one really remembered it. Gaget Dude was still signed to Hood Records and regained his confidence in early 2014, seeking out to revive his career for good with an outstanding comeback. He reached out to numerous penguins in the music industry, but nobody wanted to work with him after "I Am Fail". Eventually he managed to enlist the likes of ATUM WiLL MADE IT, Skyman and Shade the Puffolian, all of whom believed Gaget Dude could make a memorable comeback.
Gary the Gaget Dude permanently changed his stage name to simply GGD to signify a new beginning, although it had always been a short, alternative name for himself. The album was mainly self-produced and written all by GGD, but once producers came in so did more songs. Songs that GGD already had written were reworked with the new producers and then finalised into 13 tracks.
