The Autonomous Territory of the Soloraya Archipelago, commonly known as The Soloraya Archipelago or just Soloraya, is an archipelago of islands located at the northernmost point of the Sub Antarctic Islands. Despite having its own legislature and a relatively autonomous government, the archipelago is under the control of the Republic of Margate. Being at the start of the Sub Antarctic Islands, it is one of the main trading hubs of Antarctica and an important stopover in the SABER trade route. The local population are mainly descended from Malé, Enclave Peletonium and Hindonesian immigrants who settled here around four to six centuries ago.

Very rich in minerals such as diamonds, iron, tin and uranium, Soloraya used to be under the control of the High Empire of Nexon and later the International Syndicate before it was taken over by Margate. Ever since then, the natives have enjoyed a relatively peaceful life, a low cost of living and a booming economy, although income inequality and undeveloped infrastructure at certain parts of the archipelago still plague Soloraya as a result of mob rule. The Margatian government has currently been using money confiscated from the Syndicate to rebuild the islands.

Economy

The economy of Soloraya is primarily based on ports built around the islands. It is a major stopover in the SABER trade route since it is at the northernmost point of the Sub Antarctic Islands. It also serves as a bottleneck between Rockhopper Island and the Ninja Archipelago. Unlike how Shops Island abused its Frosian Islands territory by charging extra tariffs on ships from certain nations, the Margatian government allows all ships from every nation to pass through the Soloraya Archipelago, with the exception of North Joseon and East Pengolia, whose passage is completely forbidden (with the exception of refugee ships).

However, the Margatian government is starting to diversify Soloraya's economy by expanding on its manufacturing industry. Numerous arms-manufacturing factories had previously been built on the islands by the International Syndicate. Following the conflict to annex it, many of these factories were bombed by the Margatians in order to stop the Syndicate's supply of weaponry. Aside from repairing said factories, the local government also encouraged numerous automobile-manufacturing and textile-producing companies from Margate and UnitedTerra to build factories here, providing job opportunities to the Solorayans. Cement-manufacturing, electronics-manufacturing and even machinery-producing industries are also emerging and rising. Steel-refineries built by both the Syndicate and the government are also prevalent here.

The Soloraya Archipelago also possesses one of the largest reserves of diamonds and tin in Antarctica. Raw materials needed for Soloraya's various industries such as cement-manufacturing and steel-refining are also found in abundance here. Some of these raw materials are exported to nations such as Calada, Frankterre, Grand Permatan, Snowzerland, UnitedTerra and USA. Uranium are also abundant, but they are heavily concentrated at only several parts of the Archipelago. While the Syndicate previously used uranium as a fuel to generate electricity for Soloraya (and even tried to make nuclear weapons like they did when they were in control of the High Empire of Nexon), all nuclear power plants have been safely dismantled by the government, save for three enrichment plants. All raw uranium and uranium rods produced by the aforementioned enrichment plants are exported to nations such as Calada, Rusca and the USA. The Margatian government didn't want to take the risk of the uranium rods falling into the flippers of domestic terrorists.
