Talk:1st Castillan Airborne Squadron

Just a note, the correct designation for this would be the 1st Castillan Airborne Wing or the 1st Castillan Airborne Group, depending on your preference (the Royal Air Force, US Navy and Fleet Air Arm use the latter, the US Marine Corps and the US Air Force the prior. Structure goes Squadron->Group->Wing for the USMC/USAF, Squadron->Wing->Group for the RAF/FAA/US Navy. The Royal Air Force is made up of 3 groups, No. 1 Group RAF which controls all fast jet aircraft, No. 2 Group which controls strategic and tactical air transport aircraft (Hercules transports and Chinook helicopters, along those lines) and ground based personnel such as RAF Intelligence, Air Traffic Control and the RAF Regiment and finally No. 22 Group handles all recruitment and training. No. 83 Group RAF is based in Qatar and provides the RAF with a strategic projection in the Gulf States. Nowadays, a ground based Squadron (i.e a RAF Regiment squadron) would be commanded by a Squadron Leader, whilst an air based squadron by a Wing Commander since we have slightly less planes nowadays. Based on the way you've set things up, this would be commanded by the Castillan equivalent to an Air Marshal or Air Vice Marshal, most staff would be Air Commodores and in command of most Castillan air bases would be Group Captains, or for air based wings a Group Captain, air based squadrons Wing Commander and air based flights Squadron Leader. Ground based wings would be commanded by Wing Commanders, ground based squadrons by Squadron Leaders, flights by Flight Lieutenants and so on and so forth. Based on the way you have things set up, I think four Groups commanded by an Air Marshal of sorts would be the best way to go for you. Note I'm using RAF structure; not sure about USAF if you want to base it on that, but trust me on this, I am a RAF Cadet. I'm just giving your advice by the way.
