ARTICLES OF SEIZURE

Diosus has returned and demands a full revocation of OOC rights on this article back to him. He demands all TS work to be reverted to their pre-adoption state so that he may continue the original plan he had for the Inquisition.

In doing this, all stories and links to the Inquisition must be erased and/or revised to fit this.

Arguments for Diosus/Ben Hun:

  • He created the Inquisition and it was his idea.
  • He created the Inquisitor and it was his idea.
  • He had initial OOC rights before the fiasco that caused him to vanish.
  • OOC law states that he who made the idea owns the real rights and shares them with the writer of the actual article. This is the "idea clause". He who holds the idea can overrule the writer(s) if the writers' work or expansions directly interfere with their ultimate goal and path for the article.
    • For example, in Mecha Baron, TurtleShroom wrote most of the article aided directly and in conjunction with Explorer. Explorer invented Mecha Baron and handed some rights to Austin. TurtleShroom wrote an expansive background containing content that had nothing to do with Explorer's intentions, but he could not contest it because it was true to the article's original purpose: his idea. However, when TurtleShroom expanded the "shock team" concept to include unnotable minions alongside Explorer's Mecha Goons, the idea clause was triggered. TS writingas did not screw up the initial Mecha Baron idea until the "shock team" was reduced in importance. Utilizing this clause, Explorer and Austin excercised their right to change the article and undo TS' work to conform to their idea.
    • By this, Ben has the right to revoke TS of his OOC rights on the Inquisition if he can prove that it's not true to his original idea.
  • OOC law states that anyone has the fundamental right to seize any article if they can provide good reasons that they need it, that the other dosn't, or that it would be ebtter without said rights holder. Ben Hun, therefore, is fully legal and capable in excercising this right.

Arguments for TurtleShroom:

  • The Inquisition was a LQA with bad grammar before TurtleShroom expanded it. LQA articles can be adopted permanently by anyone that can expand them to MQA or higher, per the Final Solution code.
    • Until now, the idea clause was never tested on a FS-adopted article, like this one. Mecha Baron, a prime example of the clause, was HQA and had rights set in stone. The lax OOC rights on this make for difficult determination. Ben hun, therefore, has a very valid claim.
  • The Inquisition was unused before TurtleShroom adopted it.
  • Reverting the Inquisition to the Ben Hun era would undo scores of continuity, links, and adventures, including but in no way limited to Absurd Mission, Metaling in Chi Con, the Un-CP, and Kwiksilver's Horrible Holiday, as well as Tammyshroom, TurtleShroom's family, Earlray66, Too Weird for Words, Amy, and the concept of wiretapping in the CPFW world.
  • It would be a lot of work to transfer it.
  • TurtleShroom isn't technically defying the idea and original intent of the Inquisition, assuming that the purpose and intent of said article was to stamp out immorality and the Un-CP.
  • Holyberden depends entirely on the Inquisition to enforce its decency vigilanteism. Holyberden is the owning company of the inquisition, and they work very closely together. Reverting the Inquisition would greatly hurt the power of Holyberden.
  • HunEmpire still gives small funds to the article, as homage to the original writer, but on Ben's defense, it's just a little link.

VOTE

So the question is simple. Who should own the Inquisition?
TAKE IT TO THE VOTERS! Excercise your civic duty and may your voice be heard!
Per OOC law, the first side to get six votes wins the rights.

TS and Ben can not vote for themselves.

Give it to Diosus

Give it to TS

  • I say let TS have it. The article was nothing, but a stub until he adopted it and it would probably go back to being that if all of his edits were reverted. --Speeddasher
  • TS can have it -- I looked at the first version of the article and boy it was yucky. Then again, Disous could have a few rights as well. --andrew<staff />fin. now stop bugging me :| 01:41, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
  • I hate to do this but...well, TS has done wonderful with this article. I'm sorry, but yeah. --Austin8310 Bow ties are COOL. 17:33, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Commentary

I would like to make a few points if you dont mind.

  • Its a tad bit difficult improoving an article of yours when your constantly being banned left and right like I was back then. Which I still maintain as do to a bit of over dramtization and I largely didint deserve being banned so much. Which, I do believe Anniemoose admited to being trigger happy.
  • My name is Diosus. NOT BEN HUN! How many times do I have to say this?
  • My name is Diosus. NOT BEN HUN! How many times do I have to say this? Apparently more than once.

Thats all. A Wizard is never late he arrives precisely when he means to! 21:59, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

We all know that Dan had problems with the bahnammer, but he had a just reason to do it every time. He may have banned too much, but he never just banned for a reason. You were quite a drama king/diva in those days, Ben. Does anybody remember BIG, BOLD, AND ANNOYING? -- TurtleShroom™! Jesus Loves You and Died for You!!  :)  :) Infidels don't know 'bout my nukes. I have OFFICIALLY DECIDED that poet Anne Sexton is emo. ――–――――― 22:03, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Well hey, being dramatic wasent a crime, nor was bolding text to get my point across when no one was listening on the ole Shout Box at the time. At the most, the only reason Anniemoose had to ban me for was complaining about deletion of some of my articles and claiming the administators to be corrupt for wrongly deleting my things. Thats not worth being declared a crisis, or a ban for any lengthy ammount of time if you ask me. A Wizard is never late he arrives precisely when he means to! 22:09, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
    • Being dramatic has never been a crime (I'd be massacred if it was), but BIG BOLD AND ANNOYING was criminalized after you came along. FURTHER, you went around screaming ZOMGZOMGZOMG TEH ADMINZ R CORRUPT TEH ADMINS R CORRUPT!!111!1!1111GENIES111!!!!!!1, and let's not forget the LOL-Cats! Don't whitewash your past: you did quite a lot to get banned. LOL-Cats, whining, big bold and annoying, calling us corrupt, and did I mention the LOL-Cats? I did? Well: LOL-Cats LOL-Cats LOL-STINKING-CATS. -- TurtleShroom™! Jesus Loves You and Died for You!!  :)  :) Infidels don't know 'bout my nukes. I have OFFICIALLY DECIDED that poet Anne Sexton is emo. ――–――――― 22:16, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

  • But, can you proove that? CAN YOU!? Can you produce an exeedingly long list of massive ammounts of created LOLcats out of your Top hat? Can you?! If I remember correctly, I created Big Cat, and Lulzcat. And I believe Sanchonachos also created a few like the now deleted Joker Kitten. --A Wizard is never late he arrives precisely when he means to! 00:06, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
    • I could produce a list of all LOL-Cats, but alas, they were all deleted or redirected to Serious Cat or the Cat Arch.

  • Shepman, you're wrong!
The Masses may call for seizure of intellectual property from any user for any reason they so desire, and to proceed to give it to whomever wants it (or release it), if five or more users all demand such and provide a valid, just reason.

VERDICT

BE IT ENACTED BY THE FOVERNING RULES OF THE CLUB PENGUIN WIKI, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONCURRENCE OF FIVE MEN (or women, as the case may be), ALL OOC RIGHTS TO THE INQUISITION AND ITS AFFILIATES ARE, BY THE PEOPLES' WILL, HANDED FORTH TO TURTLESHROOM, AND, IN ACCORDANCE, BEN HUN RETAINS ZERO RIGHTS TO ANY INTELLECTUAL ASPECT OF THIS ARTICLE.
THIS VOTE CONCLUDE MARCH 1ST, 2011.
