Template:File-remove/doc

The File-remove template can be used for infoboxes and any template that has an image parameter.

File-remove, when placed correctly in an infobox, detects the presence of a "File:" or "Image:" prefix in the image parameter. If there is a prefix, the template automatically removes it.

How to Use

Go to the infobox you want to add File-remove to. There should be a set of code that looks like this:

[[{{{x}}}]]

The parameter x can have any name in the infobox. As long as it is an image parameter, File-remove will work.

Simply replace the x parameter with file-remove, like this:

[[{{file-remove|{{{x}}}}}]]

The parameter x MUST be put inside File-remove's parameter for the template to work.
