Timeless is the third studio album by Antarctican band Penguin Band. The album was released on December 15, 2015 on Club Penguin Music Records for download, CD and vinyl. It follows the release of their mini-album Q, released earlier on in the year, which compiled of leaked songs that were intended for Timeless. It was the first time that Penguin Band have released two projects in the same year. The label did not wish to release any albums in 2015, but they insisted. The album, as usual, predominantely contains production from band member Petey K. He also enlisted nearly the entire production team of their debut album The Four Penguins (2010) again for the album, such as Ray Kodo, DJ Crab, Flipperstomp, Jeffrey and One Wonder. It was recorded between January and November 2015. The album features the sole guest appearance from DJ Melodie.
Upon release, Timeless peaked at number 1 across Antarctica, as usual with their releases. It became the Band's fourth consecutive number 1 album release (The Four Penguins, Cosmic, Q). Three singles were released from the album, two of which were released before the album; "Timeless", "Rendezvous" and "Greatest Day", all of which fared well commercially. Critical reviews for the album were mainly positive, but many felt like it did not match the quality of their previous full-length album, Cosmic (2014).
Despite its success, Timeless is considered the Band's worst album in their discography if they all had to be ranked.

Background[edit]
Originally, Timeless was intended for a mid-2016 release, however plans changed and the Band were producing music at such a high rate that it only seemed logical to release it. DJ Crow, the most sought-after producer in the industry, was not approached to be executive producer or even contribute to the record in any way. He had served as executive producer for their second album Cosmic (2014), which is considered the Band's best body of work to date and received unanimous praise from critics.
The leaked songs had put a dent in the plans of the label and the Penguin Band. This meant that they had to rush-release the songs as a mini-album titled Q in early 2015 to capitalise on the leaked songs. The songs were intended to be for Timeless. As a result the work on Timeless was revamped. Those 8 songs were pratically the majority of the album. There were an extra 5 songs planned for the album, totalling to a tracklisting of 13 tracks.
Desite the mini-album's release the Band and the label decided to push forward in completing their full-length one. Penguin Band are not known for releasing music so frequently. Their first album came four years after they first signed, and then their second album came four years after that. So it was seen as quite unconventional for the Band to be releasing an album less than a year after their second one, let alone two in the same year. But this ended up happening anyway. New songs were made from January 2015 onwards up until a month before the Christmas release.
Old, unreleased songs such as "Go West" and "Bounce" were reworked and added on to the album. "Billy's Jig", a sequel to "Patrick's Jig", was a last-minute idea by G Billy who recoreded and wrote the short song himself.
Reception[edit]
Upon its release, Timeless received mainly poistive reviews from music critics all across the Antarctic, however they did not match up the acclaim that Cosmic had received. The album averaged a score of 67/100 based on 28 reviews, which indicates positive-but-mixed. SnowMusic gave the album three out of five stars, stating: "It clearly misses the touch of DJ Crow, who is not present at all on the album. Although there are many catchy tunes on here, I can't help but feel like it is rushed what with all the business involving the leaked songs. But it still contains that typical Penguin Band style that they're renown for. It will definitely sit well with fans even though they haven't topped their past work."
