The Trans-Continental Air Cargo Route is an international air cargo trade route which extends to 27 countries throughout the continent, and serves 41 cities. The air cargo route was created by the Friendly Skies Act of 2010, passed by the Free Republic Union and the United Antarctic Nations, the Trans-Continental Trade route is one of the longest trade routes in the entire continent. The route handles cargo, mail, and occasionally passengers, which are used under the Friendly Skies Act, allowing passenger airlines to use part of the route, allowing sufficient time for arriving and departing flights.

History[edit]

As many trade routes became clogged and unorganized, due to federal regulations, the National Airports Authority and the expressed their worries about the condition of air cargo routes. Until 2005, this issue was classified as low-status, due to higher security priorities prompted by the Department of Transportation. Nevertheless, in 2006, the Gemini cargo incident occurred, in which Penguin Cargo Airways Flight 101 and Club Penguin AirCargo Flight 667 almost collided in the skies above Gemini International Airport.

In response to the incident, a 25-nation summit was placed in Polaris, concerning the safety of Vector routes and Air Cargo routes. After the conclusion of the summit, plans for the Trans-Continental Air Cargo Route were drawn up. The planned route would circle around the comtinent. Each airport would have a Continental Cargo Center, and would each have a parking ramp, which, by the Summit's rules, must have at least 6 parking spots. From then on at each distribution centre, mail is sorted and is shipped to areas within a 100 mile radius via rail and road.

Route[edit]

The TCACR spans over 41 cities in 27 countries across the Antarctic. The current and official route as of October 8, 2010 follows this paticular list of airports and cities:
