This bill, Agent Johnson/Important, has passed the Wiki's Congress Committee and will be laid down as a law! |
Thank you for coming this page. As you may know, CPFW is essentially governed as an oligarchy of Administrators - something that I do not like. But it isn't just something I don't like - it's something the staff don't like. It is in my opinion, and for the greater good of the Wiki, that steps towards reform must be taken, so that we have better bargaining position towards this Council, which I'm hoping you'll all attend to represent the Fanon wiki. I understand that many will be against this reform, but this is essentially a compromise that we shall propose towards the Council. Me and SN have been discussing this, and we both agree that once we have a strong, stable and permanent systems, we can all forget about politics and get back to editing. As a note, this will include more integration with the Club Penguin Wiki, but only for the sake of stability.
CPW is notably more stable then the CPFW. Hardly any arguments happen, and when they do, they are quickly resolved. Why? Because they have a strong system with rules and Admins who know and abide by them. Sure, the rules are complex, but that's why Admins are there; if you break them, they can easily come, tell you what you're doing wrong. Here is the CPW Policy. CPFW will integrate the majority of this, with a few exceptions due to the possibility of tension on Fanon being caused. What works on CPW may not work on CPFW; for instance, the 'No Unrelated' policy would be controversial since most things here are unrelated to CP and many users love editing user pages.
Contents
What policies from the CPW will not be in CPFW?
- No Unrelated clause. The reason is that much of the content on this Wiki is unrelated and I think we all agree that you should be allowed to put what you want on your user page. After all, it's your user page.
- Quitting policy. I believe that a blog to tell everyone you're leaving and for everyone to say their goodbyes is respectful towards the quitting user.
- Signature policy. In the past signatures haven't caused any problems, so this is not needed. Plus, many users do not state their user name yet we can identify them easily.
- Newspaper policy. Redundant for CPFW since there aren't any newspapers. Therefore, people should be free to create their own.
And what will remain from the CPFW?
- The Image Policy from the we already have will be integrated into the new one.
- The 'Reporting Misconduct or Suspicious Activity' from the COC will be changed but will pretty much be the same.
- The OOC Policy, as it's an integral part of the Wiki.
- That's Death (no discussion needed here).
- The Article of Articles, although the actual page will be deleted and only some of the policies on it will be integrated into new ones coming in.
- The Sue Policy.
And returning will be...
- Is what is popularly known as the Zone Kodes.
- Much of it will be integrated into the CPW policies being imported over here. The exact policies from the Zone Kodes which will be integrated into the new Fanon's policies is yet to be decided.
- Most notable will be the Consensus; it is better if all users agree to something rather then a quick vote which results in a tyranny of the majority. The minority may have good points to make; the slavery issue was a tyranny of the majority. The white majority believed the black majority should be their slaves, until the abolitionists succeeded.
- I WILL ACTUALLY FINISH THEM!!! PROMISE!!!!!
We'll be giving our last rites to...
- The COC.
- The Article of Articles.
- The Governance project. Every editor is equal; an Administrator is not higher then you. They have more of a burden if anything.
About the Consensus...
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH TOO COMPLEX!!!!!
- The Consensus? Don't worry, I'll simplify it.
- The Policies? There is going to be a Simplified Ruleset.

Vote(+7)
Lines have been drawn. Since no meaningful suggestions have come out and all that there has been is some endorsement, scepticism and outright opposition (*cough*TS*cough*), I decided to go straight to the voting. You're not voting on the actual implementation; you're voitng that this will be the official stance Fanon shall take before the Council congregates. This does need Staffer approval before we implement this, which is why it will be taken to the Council. If you want to debate, please use the commentary page. Just sign, maybe put a reason or quote and that's it.

- I support this due to the stability it'll bring.--Agent Johnson | My old signature is too long for a rant. So here's a new one. 00:08, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
- I support AJ's motion to re-implement the old system. The Zone Kodes have worked and brought us stability before. -- Sanchonachos Republicans:Stop Whining. 01:34, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
- I will support this, only if the Fanon community gets to decide which policies are implemented or not. There are some policies that shouldn't apply to here. --Happyface414 (talk|blog|contribs) 04:02, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

- I'm smart enough to know I can't stop this. This isn't anything like Wikia, either. Wikia would create a mandatory skin, remove the shoutbox, and demolish everything we love, without the community's say on the issue. The staffers here at CPW won't do this to us. --Happyface(talk|blog|contribs) 22:53, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Sorry TS.... <=( But the odds are so high... If there were more users than perhaps it would have made a difference.... I'll still vote against, but it's only because I don't want to be a traitor to you. >< /// (However everyone else does seem to have a point now that I see their opinion on this...) User:Iceflower485
