So, with the USA's Presidential Election coming up soon, it's about time that we settle Spike Hike's fate in-universe. For those of you that don't know, Spike left Disney and Club Penguin a bit over a month ago, out of the blue. Apparently he went to NBCUniversal to make their games instead. As far as I know, he doesn't really have a "replacement" that we know of- or his replacement at Disney just isn't going to be publicly involved in CP like Billybob and Spike were. I think Megg is the only public CP blogger/staff at the moment because all of their focus is on "Project Super Secret". But, the big question that leaves is, what happens now in-universe with Spike and the election? Well, I have a few ideas.

1. The easiest option. In-universe Spike Hike still wins a re-election and pretty much nothing changes. The 2020 elections would elect someone else.

2. Spike wins the elections but resigns at some point to his vice president, probably Megg. In my opinion, if this were to happen you might as well just do #1.

3. To go along with real life similar to the Billybob/Spike transition in 2012, Spike Hike, though running a successful campaign for re-election, announces he's pulling out of the presidential race in September (like how he left Disney/CP irl). This would leave the spot open either for Megg, one of the fanon characters or leave the space for Spike Hike's official replacement if there is one and if he/she becomes involved with the game like Billybob and Spike were (unlikely imo). The USA election would still be held separately, between all of the candidates minus Spike.

I believe that #3 is the best option, with Megg or a fanon character being elected as the new president. However, if a new "head" of CP is announced other than Megg in the future they could always be written in as president with Megg as VP. The transition from Billybob to Spike Hike was so smooth because we all knew who was replacing Billybob, and the timing was almost perfect. But in this case, we're going to have to either give Spike four more years we know he's not there (which feels wrong to me, carrying on four years of 2013-cp when we know they're changing) irl or make stuff up.

So, I think we should do #3, but what about Spike's future? Well, much like how we didn't want to forget about Billybob, and thus he's a Master of the Universe, I think we could do the same with Spike so he's not forgotten. In fact, exactly that. I believe we could let Billybob retire as Author of the Universe, and hire Spike to take his place, hence Spike Hike's sudden announcement of pulling out of the presidential race. Billybob would still be around, but living the life of a retired president and Master of the Universe (though he could still help the BoF and good guys). Any reference of Billybob being a Master in the future would be re-written as Spike, but it's not an issue since I don't believe Billybob is written into much in the future.

If you still like #3 but not Spike-becomes-a-Master, he could just go into normal work or retirement, helping good guys and stuff like Billybob would if he retired.


So, it's time for the community to decide:

What is Spike Hike's in-universe fate?

Please choose one of the above suggested methods or suggest your own in the comments below, and also whether you approve of my idea about Spike replacing Billybob as a Master if you liked #3. If no consensus (agreement) is met below, or nobody cares, I'll probably just go through with my idea of #3 + Spike replacing Billybob as a Master. But, it's only right of me to ask all of your opinions. I love Billybob as a Master and all, but time is passing, and CP itself is still changing, that's why I think #3 is good, and the Master idea just sounded good to me as a way to progress the Masters.

  • Keep in mind a few things: This page isn't to decide the results of the USA election, that page will stay open separately. This page is just deciding if Spike will stay in the election or not. Secondly, please not that with my Master idea, Spike wouldn't be a Master and still the President. The master idea's only if Spike pulls out of the election, my own little parallel of him moving from Disney to NBC- moving from President to Master or the Universe.   • The only mention of Billybob in the future that I know is during the Wikia Catastrophe so it should be completely fine to change, and I'm fine with Billybob retiring but still helping out the Good Guys.
