Yes, another controversial topic. 'MURICA!

Now, I don't really know what happened with TS and HF in 2012. But, I know HF was blocked indefinitely, and is still blocked. Now, I saw HF on IRC today, and although I'm not sure if he'll come back anytime soon, I thought to myself- shouldn't I investigate this ban, for the sake of democracy? If HF was banned that long with an unjust cause, It's only fair to remove his block in my opinion (as he's been banned for more than two years). So, I'd like to know exactly what happened in 2012, and why he was banned in the first place. From the block logs, it appears as though TS banned him indefinitely for bullying and/or harassment. Even if that's accurate, HF shouldn't have been banned forever, as certain policies dictate a one month ban as the maximum, unless a longer ban is agreed by admin consensus (and even then, from one month to indefinite is a pretty big stretch).

So, I'd like everyone to put their recollections in the discussion section. In the voting section, you can vote as to whether or not an indefinite ban was unjust. If so, he should be unbanned as he has well surpassed the time he should have been punished.

I wanted to do this the democratic way, by getting consensus from the community. Rather than unbanning him myself and starting an unneeded flame war between TS and I. Some may say this whole thing is unneeded, and ask why i'm pulling skeletons from the closet. Even if HF never wishes to return to editing, I think that this is the right thing to do (the discussion), because if the ban was unjust and we revert our actions, it could brighten our reputation.   • Assuming that HF is sorry for any misdeeds, it is reasonable and right to allow forgiveness, especially after a 2 year indefinite ban. TurtleShroom and Swiss Ninja might hate the decision to unban HF but Jesus taught to forgive one another just as He forgives us all. If TS and SN still decide to be bitter about it, they are in the wrong themselves. Though great caution will be required if HF gets unbanned. Who knows if he'll decide to be dim-witted again? 00:24, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
  • HF waged war on TS and I and rightfully deserved his punishment for trying to sockpuppet us on the Twitter. His return will only lead to his resumption of his agenda and "what he wanted to get done that he couldn't do before". If you want to bring chaos back onto this wiki, then releasing HF from his shackles is a good way to start. HF wanted to push his agenda on us, which TS and I opposed. HF decided to retaliate by inciting a flame war and began to harass us on the wiki and even tried to impersonate us for his benefit on the CPFW Twitter account.
    • FURTHERMORE, HF is banned from the whole CPWN, not just the Fanon wiki, so this is not as much just a wiki issue, but a trans wiki issue.
    • @Perapin , what are you talking about? HF promoted a sinful agenda and his release will only lead to his resumption for that agenda. You don't know anything about what happened two years ago, so I really don't see how you have any say or knowledge in this matter.

  • I'm neutral, and here's why. HF, according to my research, isn't banned across all of the CPWN. HF is currently not banned on the CPW, as of 2013. Nothing in the block log states that he is, in fact not banned. Unless I'm mistaken, this information is wrong. However, while he is banned here, he could've done some considerably "awful" things to the wiki. Also, you do not have any clarification as to whether or not he will, in fact, "bring back chaos" to the wiki. In my honest opinion, most of these reasons unless are backed by cold hard evidence (as such, twitter, deleting articles, etc etc) are a tad bit of speculation of what may become if he is, in fact, unblocked. As much as that, Swiss, while Perapin only joined as of recent, he is still a user, and as such, has a right to vote on the matter. The Discussion only serves to provide textual facts regarding the vote being made, as well as the differing opinions of the users. Because of these differing reasons, anecdotal fears, as well as an over-hyped user in the spotlight, I'm neutral. -Wonderweez (Talk · Contribs) 05:50, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

Was HF's ban length unjust/Should HF be unbanned?

If you have a different feeling (i.e. the ban was unjust, but HF shouldn't be unbanned), please say so in the discussion above and why you feel that way. As a note, this vote area really isn't as important as the community discussing and reaching consensus above.
