Since no one's going to see it if I do this on the OOC Policy's talk page, I'm doing this on a blog post.

I think there should be a new addition to the OOC policy for dealing with situations where the OOC rules of two articles clash with each other. I call it "priority" after the SSB term.

Suppose that Article A has some OOC rules and Article B has some other OOC rules. An article C is created that conflicts with Article A and Article B. However, the rules of Article A and Article B also conflict with each other (e.g., "Bananas are green" and "Bananas are red"). How do we know which article is legally correct so that we can correct article C?

This is where priority comes in. Article A can be backed up using the OOC rules of Article D, if D is related to A in some way and was created before A. (E.g., D also says that "Bananas are green and not red".) Articles can also be backed up by mainstream continuity (e.g., a lot of articles say that bananas are green, not red) or canon (e.g., the online game Club Penguin depicts bananas as green and not red). These two particular sources are "worth more". Whichever article has the most articles backing it (i.e., the higher priority) wins the conflict. (E.g., more articles depict bananas as green instead of red, therefore Article A wins.)
