User blog:Explorer 767/Toying with Astrophysics
Hey, folks! Recently I got a program called Universe Sandbox, a gravity simulator that allows you to control the universe and whatever is in it. Basically, you can control the different aspects of of astrophysics, as well as creating rings, new bodies, stellar dust, black holes, et cetera et cetera. After you're done messing around, you can watch what will happen to your creation.
The program can be downloaded [www.universesandbox.com here] for a free trial of 1 hour. After that, you can still view simulations and control time, but you must pay to recover the interactive features. (The price is any price you want -- you pay what you think the program is worth.)
So why did I write this blog? Well, here you can request for me to do something cool on Universe Sandbox (like ripping off Saturn's rings by shooting a Neptune at them). If the request is feasible, I will take a screenshot and upload it here for all to see.
There can be only two to four requests per week due to time issues.
So, if you've ever wanted to see what would happen if the Moon was launched at the Earth (or something like that), make a request! Yours "Falsely", Explorer 767 (Logic OWNS You!) View this template 23:47, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
