Hi, it's Explorer again with another overly nerdy, generally hated idea that will likely end up getting shoved into everyone's faces and become a nuisance because it's so scientific. But enough with the intro.

So I've been noticing something on articles that really annoys me. POINTLESS TRIVIA.

Specifically, the kind of trivia that follows this format:

{person A} has {emotion B} about this, and {further details}.

For example, "Aviator G admires the contradictory stupid complexity of Austin vs. Explorer: The Scientific Showdown and will do anything to see it because it's so annoyingly written and includes excessive shaving cream."

GAAAAH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO-

Basically, this kind of trivia is (generally) pointless. Why? Because it's focusing on person A and not the article itself. If it focuses on person A, it should be put on person A's article instead. Plus, it gets shoved everywhere and clutters up trivia sections.

There are exceptions to this. If the fact is more notable (for example, "Freezeland strongly prohibits the usage of this item" or "The Time Agency seeks to recover this device in order to research it") than generic, it should be okay. But most of the time, I wouldn't suggest putting trivia of this kind on an article.
