Recently, there have been a number of fake users impersonating certain users that have the letter "l" in their username. Examples that have been impersonated are "TurtleShroom", "PabloDePablo" and possibly some more. We will need to be aware if this ever happens again, that we need to be aware of which user is the "fake" & the "real". I accidently blocked "PabloDePablo" because it was hard for me to know which was the real Pablo. Some ways to avoid this:

1. Click on the users user page. The one you think which is fake.

It should hardly have any edits, or even a user page!

2. The impersonators look for the users with "l" in their username. Example:

Fake Lower-case L: I

Real Lower-case L: l

There's not much difference there, but you need to be aware on which users are the fake, and which are the real. If anybody else have any "sensible" ways in realizing the "impersonate", then feel free to add them! I hope this helped, and let's wish that this doesn't happen anymore. Now about blocking.

Be careful when blocking. Because you can accidently block the "real" user. That happened to me, but that is fixed. So remember those pointers on avoiding this. Just to clarify, the fake Pablo not did just impersonate PabloDePablo, he sent a filthy link on the shout box. Many, many, many times. Luckily, he is now blocked (by me).

If you are not an administrator, or bureaucrat, and there is no CPFW staff nearby, then there are some things to do to delay the block.

1. I do not know if users with no promotion can delete shout box comments (I don't think they can).

If this happens, then please contact an administrator ASAP!!!
