User blog:Project X Mark 1/Infobox Levels

This has always confused me; what is the "Level" row of an infobox of like, say, a character for? Have we forgotten? --This Rich GuyShall Give You Money 16:52, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- The "level" thing was given to us back when the Infoboxes were type-in forms. Wikia implemented the feature at our request, and they were called "Create Plates". Originally, the Plates were Character, Place/Location, Quest, and Item. I think there may have been another, but we ultimately added Country before Project Tern. The default Create Plate for several of these had a form called "level", which never had a description. In short? We were never told, either. For CPFW purposes, we assume itʻs an estimate if their powers or location in any given hierarchy, but that was ultimately redacted. "Level" is less a purpose and more a tradition. DO NOT REMOVE IT. –TS (from phone) / --99.157.108.248 03:12, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- I never mentioned removing it, are you predicting what I will say then pre-empting me? --This Rich GuyShall Give You Money 15:21, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- That's quite interesting. I never knew that, TS. Now I know. I agree that the "Level" should stay, since it does serve a purpose with some characters and has been proved useful in some cases.
