Now, I don't mean to direct this message to anyone in particular, but listen up.
I'm getting extremely tired of a minority of you complaining about our way of life. Before, I could understand this criticism to a certain level (I'd be a hypocrite if I tried to put an end to it at that stage). But lately, some people have been extremely persistent in ruining this wiki's traditions and way of life. This intent really hit home when I saw this monstrosity on Shops. I'll highlight what I'm concerned about:
Reform fanon- This is a huge controversy across the network, one that may eventually lead to war or ruins, but in my opinion, it has to be done. I understand that TS and Swiss have good hearts, and they only mean the best for fanon. However (once again, in my opinion), their hierarchical webmaster-style rule and bible-lead way of life isn't the best thing for an online kid's site. I don't doubt that fanon needs structure and leadership, but the undemocratic ways that fanon does some things just irks me, banning certain users because they want to and then using excuses to cover it up, while the real people that should be banned because of those excuses aren't. IPs are banned for no apparent reason, and are told "make an account or you can't edit here" as if they're not as good as people who are registered. Even if something should be allowed, it isn't if you do something that TS and Swiss don't like, and imo it seems like at this point the entire fanon universe revolves around what Swiss wants (his rules) and his holdings (He controls most of the major countries, which are almost all parodies of real nations, and he's created the entire future of antarctica and expects everyone to abide by his future even though on the future article it says no future is for certain until it happens). Overall, I think fanon needs a governmental reform so that it's democratic, and the leaders don't scare people into leaving or ban people because they feel like it. A fanon where people can make their own decisions and work around problems together, where all of the previous misdeeds have been fixed and no unrighteous judgements are left to uncover. Although i'd like this to be a goal I highly doubt it will happen anytime soon, as the staff can't seem to tackle it (either they're friends with TS, or they don't want to say anything because they knows TS and Swiss will "rebel" or "fight back", so-to-speak). ~Cp kid
Look here, Swiss and TS are good people. They worked hard to make this wiki what it is, and they aren't solely responsible for the way we operate today. Users who are long gone yet not forgotten are responsible for shaping Fanon into the wall of literature it is now.
We are not a hierarchy. We hold elections; we have an RfA. We vote on even the simplest of things, like if we want to introduce a new feature or if some users must be dealt with. This wiki is not, by any means a bible-lead way of life nor a bible-thumping site. Though it may seem like that because of our Christian majority, users from other cycles of life such as Atheists (Ed and I), Muslims (NJN), and more are welcome here. Contrary to popular belief, we don't ban people who are different because "we want to". I don't see EDFan or Amigopen banned; they both don't "conform" to TS' standards in a certain way. The bible has a significant influence on this wiki, that's the way it was founded. LIVE WITH IT.
This wiki has involvement and input from everyone, it is not a kingdom ruled by Swiss and TS. They are bureaucrats, simple. Their job is to have the final say on wiki affairs. They've edited here longer than anyone else still around; they've completely earned their respective places. Both of them are respectable users that I look up to. If they weren't fit to rule, they would not be in power. The wiki's continuity does not revolve around what Swiss wants; it's just good for him that he decided to venture off the beaten path and start new things and write out our future and such.
I'm addressing this post to all of you people who constantly bash our way of life. And to that, I only have this to say in summary: DON'T TREAD ON ME. A few of you who actively bash Fanon barely edit here, so who are you to speak out against us?

Happy Holidays! 16:21, 17 December 2013 (UTC) - Do you wonder why I don't edit here that much? That post was my opinion on things, and if you don't like it, tough. In my opinion, fanon isn't the best it can be because of some of the factors I mentioned. If things were completely fair on fanon (in my opinion, they're not), i'd probably edit more. If I didn't have to worry about being blocked for editing or my edits getting reverted all of the time, I would certainly edit more.
