User blog:TheBroMaster/No more countries
The title may sound ludicrous, but I think we should stop, or at least slow down, the formation of countries on this wiki. I mean specifically, large ones. I think it's wrong to create a nation and have it be a superpower as it is, or have a really detailed and long history that isn't mentioned in any stories. It just seems like something that hasn't been rooted into the site. Of course, countries could still be created, but I think they'd have to be small, be created on existing land, and as the user who created it edits longer, their article can get more important.
2 great examples of this are Penguio and the Seal Islands. They both popped out of literally nowhere and had a rooted history that dates back quite a while ago, especially Penguio. These nations were created as big players on the Antarctic stage, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. We shouldn't allow these countries to just pop out of nowhere and become giant nations when their articles were just created.
My solution is that these nations' histories shouldn't be too detailed, and that they start out particularly undeveloped. But, they still have the right to develop into large and prosperous nations. That's what happened with Snowzerland (somewhat), and Shops Island.
Remember, this is just my opinion.

I agree to this. We should stop making more countries. Make more island territories and colonies instead. --

I agree. I have no clue who wrote my history section. Tom Saworton Talk Contributions Penguio 08:11, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
I kind of agree. I think we should make small, not very powerful countries, or countries which aren't really involved in much. I don't want the idea of countries removed all together. I honestly think we shouldn't have too many real colonies either. I mean, there are different types of colonies, oversea colonies, which are just mostly territories over the sea, and then real colonies. I like the idea of oversea territories, but colonies are...yeah. Anyways, to talk about the Seal Islands, it hasn't been involved in much during the history, it's been just quietly sitting there, south of the Asiapelago. It's very weak and couldn't afford to hold a war for the safety of the inhabitants, that's the kind of bigger countries I think we could have here. Besides, most of the Seal Islands is water, there's not much land at all. Anyways, that is just my opinion. --

- Your idea is what I was getting to. But, the countries can become more powerful over time. --
