User blog:TurtleShroom/HALEY'S FATE: the Scapegoat of the Board

Okay, enough with the Board speak.
This is me, TurtleShroom, with a blog no one will really pay too much attention to.
Dan, through a roleplay tale, ripped open an exciting new can of worms. Through a long series of events, it was decided that the Board of Fiction will curse Haley into a particular subculture/clique. We were at a toss-up between nerd and Gothic/goth.
When transformed, everyone in the universe, save Dan and a select few (but not Haley), will forget how the old Haley ever lived, as she never existed.
Haley will still be the same penguin, just with a different personality and set of interests. Inside either her apathetic, black-clothed body, or her glasses-wearing, socially awkward being, will remain the old Haley's personality, fighting to maintain control over the ever-pressing curse.
I was thinking that she should retain a bit of her former self and go on a quest to change herself back. On the way, she will be confronted with many things her new subculture would partake or be interested in, but she must fight with all she can to press on. Haley will succumb at times and succeed in others. In all, it would be the grounds for a great new article and, someday, an adventure.
Dan would, at last, get a role as he tries to help Haley overcome her nerdiness or goth-ness to change herself back. Dan, though, will realize that he still doesn't have feelings for her in the end, to maintain continuity. The new personlaity cursed on her brings out parts of her Dan didn't know of, and, well, it's my first attempt at a story that has something OTHER than comedy.
The problem is that Dan (the character) hates goths, so the Gothic curse would be a magnificent idea, and the one I want. However, I don't know anything about Gothics except how they dress, and I can't act one out in a story, or act what runs through their mind. I mean, what would she fight off in the story? I know what a stereotypical nerd's trappings could be, but I'm stumped on a goth's distractions.
Basically, I need YOUR help. Yes, you, the one who usually doesn't read or comment here.
What will be Haley's fate?! Only you have the pwoer? I like goth for the curse but can write nerds far better. I can't decide. A "Gothic nerd" is out of the question... trust me.
So... will you help?
