Evening y'all.
It has come to my attention that our Portuguese/Spanish portion of this wiki is collapsing and/or not doing as well as the English portion of this site. This is, for lack of a better term, due to the low amount of advertising we have as well as promotion of this. What I'm suggesting is not to close this portion, but to move it to a new URL and give it it's own site.

How will this solve the problem?[edit]
It will solve the problem because we will:
- Be able to monitor the site with one English representative on location to help the wiki get up and running
- Manage the articles there with greater care
- Be able to advertise on the CPPW for them to come over and let their imagination roam free.
With the site up and running, it will also be able to have us focus on one language per site, and have the "Languages" section be a portal to the other wiki.
How did you come up with this?[edit]
I was browsing Twitter one night when I noticed a HUGE Spanish Club Penguin Wiki Network was on there. While I gave no concern about since it is capturing a whole different audience, I found that it made our network's site look... well... small. I gave a look on the Fanon portion and, while small, had an active community trying to make it big.
It then occurred to me that we can make our wiki network like that one, and, with a little bit of effort, possibly better.
What's the Game Plan, Coach?[edit]
Fairly simple.
Part One: Petition staff, set deadline, get wiki up and running.
- Add in main page and canon articles translated to Portuguese for baseline purposes.
- Make Antarctica bare-bones, no countries, encourage country making on Antarctica, but REGULATED UNTIL SPACE IS FILLED UP. From there, we can decide forwards as to what the fate of country making will be.
- Add in KEY FANON ARTICLES (e.g: important ones).
- Transfer existing articles onto Portuguese Wiki.
Part Two: Advertise, Promote, Persuade.
- Use all means of advertising possible to promote the CPFPW.
- Offer Administrative positions to responsible users.
- Set leadership roles from English wiki there, act as "The Finalizer."
- OPTIONAL: Attempt to persuade users from existing Wikia Portuguese wikis to join here, keep positions.
Part Three: Maintenance, House-keeping.
- Set wiki eventually off on it's own within a year, remove English user leadership base.
- Actively monitor the wiki and step in if a fight erupts.
- Grant access to the EN-Fanon IRC channel in case of emergencies.
Details[edit]
Articles will be chosen by experienced users as to what may be considered important for them to know. The goal is for the Portuguese wiki to have NO ENGLISH INFLUENCE WHATSOEVER. This means articles appearing in the English wiki may NOT appear in the Portuguese wiki without good reason to.
Also, I wish to exemplify the concept of originality versus wars, etc. If they choose to do with war later on, so be it. Otherwise, do not influence them.
Off-shore countries on Fanon will NOT be allowed unless they take place on an actual island. This will apply only until the mainland is filled up entirely with countries.
Anymore questions or comments/concerns can be placed down below. Thank you. -Wonderweez (Talk · Contribs) 11:36, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
Place Things here[edit]
Questions[edit]
- I would want to join this,as I feel this place is too established.
So,would I be allowed to join this even if my first language is English,if I had basic language knowledge?
- Anyone with a knowledge on Portuguese would be allowed to join, even if it were to help them, be a representative, or edit in general for whatever the reason. -Wonderweez (Talk · Contribs) 20:26, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
Comments/Concerns[edit]
- As long as it eventually builds up a strong, self-sufficient user base (and all the hard work doesn't go to waste), then I don't see why not. You could even advertise it on our network's Spanish CPW. --

- Seems like a fairly good idea, I remember the Fanon PT used to exist on TropicalWikis before it "merged" and all wikis were long lost, and back then it was voted for it to join the network, which it never did. But a pt.fanon.clubpenguinwiki.info is not a bad idea at all, seeing as the CPWPT has evolved into its own community I would only think the same happens to Fanon PT. --

(My Talk Page) 02:27, 30 July 2014 (UTC) - The idea of CPFW-PT has been around for a while. I don't remember exactly when it was founded on TropicalWikis, but the CPW council voted to move it to the network in July 2013. Unfortunately, due to unknown problems (possibly laziness), it never happened, and when TW was closed late last year it was lost forever. Around that time, talks arose again of having a CPFW-PT on the network, along with the idea of a PT Shops. The excuse this time was space. Supposedly shops takes up too much space to add any more wikis to the network- I know our images take up a lot of space but i'm almost positive that was an excuse. No matter, I set up Clean Up Shops over there in March, yet it's very slow going. Anyway, I support the idea of having a Portuguese CPWN although I don't think all of the specifications on this page are needed. The users here can petition for it to be made along with PT users and anyone else who wants it- and we can let the PT users make their own Fanon, their own universe, however they want to do that. I don't think we should try to influence them with a certain method of living (nations, wars, etc), nor do I think any English users should actually have power over there. It'd be the staff's job to handle fights or anything that may ensue. HOWEVER I believe our users should be willing to give them support and advice if they ask for it. As for the PT articles on this wiki, I don't think they would be needed anymore (or at least PT translations, as their universe would be fresh and not incorporate many of our things). As for ES, I don't think we should try to set that up until there's a successful CPW-ES at the very least.

- To be honest, someone could just make a petition somewhere and let supporters sign (for CPFW-PT). That should push the staff (aka Sea who would make the main decision) into thinking about it. I could do that if you'd like, and give it two weeks for people to sign?
