Hi, B'Russ Fics!

Welcome to the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki! We hope you can make continuing contributions of articles and/or discussion and other improvements.

If you are new to wikis in general, be sure to visit the "Community portal" for an outline of some of the main parts of the site and a link to pages that tell you how to edit.

Many useful tools and fun pages can be seen to the left, under the logo. Named the Sidebar, clicking on a blue link will take you to the page of choice.

Do keep an eye on the "recent changes" page, where all edits and their authors (both anonymous and signed-in) are listed. Bookmark it, maybe. (And help delete spam and vandalism - unpleasant but a fact of life.)

Discussion of any aspect of the site, and inquiries, can be made at Talk:Main_Page or on the "discussion" page associated with each article. It helps if you sign and date your contributions there, so that readers know "who to talk to" and whether your message is probably still of current interest. If you write on a user's "talk" page, that user will get an alerting message on next visit.

Remember to sign every discussion or talk page with four tildes (~~~~).

Feel free to fill out your user page so we can learn more about you.

As a Fanon Wiki, we encourage creative writing. To see what great pages are like, see the High(on the toolbar to the left) and Ultra Quality articles, for example the articles United States of Antarctica, Club Penguin Island, and Dorkugal.

There are certain groups of users who handle this wiki. They are our administrators. Respect them, not just some of them.

New pages

Hi B'Russ. Right now our <createbox> widget is... broken. But, there is still a way for you to make pages! Just type the name of your article into the search bar (exactly as you want it, so proper capitalization and whatnot), then hit enter.

If a page with that name doesn't exist, you should see something like:

"Create the page "Wanted Article Name" on this wiki!"

All you have to do is click the red words, known as a "redlink", and that should take you to an editing area. Write everything you want for your article, then hit submit and the article should be created. If you have any problems, need any more help, or would like me to create the page(s) for you (so you can edit them and expand), feel free to let me know!

P.S. On other talk pages, please leave new messages using the "Add Topic" button next to edit (That way it will show up on the bottom of the page), and leave your signature too so people know who left the message! You can leave your signature by typing four tildes (~~~~), or pressing the signature button at the top of the editing box. WannaTalk? 17:11, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Fanfiction.net

You've written stories on fanfiction.net? That's pretty cool! I also wanted to let you know that it's easy to link articles on-wiki. All you have to do is put brackets ([[ ]]) around any page title. For example, [[Penquino]] will show up as Penquino. It's much easier than linking the whole page url :P

We also have interwiki links for articles on any other CPWN wiki (CPW, Shops, Archives), and wikipedia. If you're interested in those feel free to check out this article on the CPW.

Age

There is no "Age" parameter for that infobox. However, there is a parameter for a character's birth date. It's "birth=". Also, please leave messages at the bottom of my talk page by using the "add topic" button instead of the edit button :P It's just less confusing for me. Thanks! Also, in the birth parameter you can use Template:Birth date and age to automatically display the character's age next to their birth date. But, you'd have to give them a full birth date- day, month, year. WannaTalk? 08:53, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

RE: Nationality Not Working

Hi B'Russ! I fixed the parameter for you- it was a simple typo; you put "Nationality" instead of "nationality". While it's minor and annoying, you need the exact parameter for it to work (and usually parameters are all lowercase), so it doesn't matter if you spell it wrong or if you capitalize the first letter- it won't show either way unless it's exactly as show in the template itself (or on the documentation). Moving pages

You didn't need to create a new page, and blank the other one. You can move pages to a different title. Click on the "more" tab and you should see move page.

Pretty crowded!

I've noticed you've been making lots of edits recently. Not that I don't like it. I do like it when people edit a lot, just when it's not TOO crowded! Lots of details make the subject visualized. Compare these two sentences about my Puffle, Inven.

"Inven is working at the Brownie Research Lab."

"Inven, my brown puffle, is working very hard at the Brownie Research Lab today."

The second version is better, right? It helps you understand the picture more clearly. That's what I try to find. The details matter, and you make this statement true! So I understand you're probably hard at work. I was giving you a compliment! That's just what I like doing. --This is a puffle. And is this their talk page? Psst... Just for future reference, you can move pages to a new title, so you don't have to copy/paste their content. Near the Edit button, you should see a "more" tab. One of the options under that will be "Move", which will easily allow you to move a page from one title to another, while keeping the old page history. WannaTalk? 14:37, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
