Signature

Ah, a signature! I might not explain this too well, so bear with me. Somewhere in Special:Preferences you can find your current signature (the boring one). You have two options to change it, you can automatically write a new one on that line, with the wikicode and everything (though, you can only put so much on that line), or you can create a signature to change whenever you want. For example, my signature is Template:CKSig. If you make a template for it, just put "WannaTalk? " in the signature box (though, replace CKSig with your template name), and check the "Treat signature as wikitext" box.

As for styling, that's where my instructions get pretty bad. You can do a whole butt-load of things to your signature, changing colors, fonts, adding images or color behind your words, etc etc etc. I'll quote a message that LordMaster96 gave me in January 2011 on the Club Penguin Wiki (when I first wanted a signature), so here's an excerpt from my CPW talk archives:

"You just have to experiment with some wikicode. When you find one that works, go to your preferences and enter the coding for your signature there, but remember to check off Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link).

Here are some things you might want to include:
<font face="comic sans ms"> [[User:Cp kid|Cp kid]] </font> would make it look like Cp kid

[[User:Cp kid|<span style="color:red">Cp kid</span>]] would produce Cp kid

If you combine them together:

<font face="comic sans ms"> [[User:Cp kid|<span style="color:red">Cp kid</span>]] </font> would produce Cp kid "

As I said, I'm not great at explaining this sort of stuff. But, I'd highly suggest you just go test some things out! On your userpage, or a template if you make one, or even on our Sandbox! If you'd like me to try and design something for you, just ask and I'll see what I can do! Also, be sure to make sure any signature you make complies with our Signature policy (note that we're sometimes lenient on the image size, like I think the image in mine is 30px rather than 20px). Inactive Article Editing?

You can edit any articles you want unless the owner specifically tells you not to. You can also adopt articles that haven't been edited for some time if you want to expand them significantly. Just do so in a way that isn't OOC. Having some characters be students at a university is small enough.

Honestly, no. The only users who edited it probably quit, and it isn't being expanded anytime soon. You can adopt any non-HQA article that's not owned by anyone. So go for it.

Also, remember to put a signature with four tildes when you write on talk pages.

Editing inactive articles is fantastic, It keeps them alive! We don't want them to be forgotten just because their creator has left the wiki. Personally for adoption, I suggest that you make substantial improvements to the article before you adopt it, as a sign of good faith, but it's up to you. Also, any "abandoned" articles are automatically fair game (if their creator has left the wiki, such as quitting or being banned), so in an OOC standpoint you're also encouraged to expand them and make them better. Amazing work

I just want to say that's I'm a pretty big fan of your work. You've made several quality articles in the few weeks you've been here, and I'm looking forward for more. The wiki hasn't seen much original content in spades for quite some time, and you are definitely appreciated.

In the past, I've been known to work with users for their articles, creating secondary characters and putting input into their characters (Notably Pufflezzz and Corai, users who sadly quit in 2011), and I was wondering if I could do the same with you. We could share our ideas concerning John, Anne, the Karkrashians, ect. Let me know what you think

First off, I cannot express my sincere thanks. Most of my characters and stories are linked in a huge way which takes a lot of thought and I'm glad to hear someone verbally expressing interest for the things I write. Next, I'd absolutely love if I had someone to work with dealing with the AKKF since it's a really big organization and I've always been too shy to ask anyone. It's a pretty big picture for one person to paint and I'd love some help on it.

As I said, it's fine that you don't want to spoil your age :P (I'll be 17 next month). But, I also have to agree with what Mec said above. Your works are pretty amazing, and while at first it looked like you just wanted to make a Kardashian family parody, it's stemmed into much more originality than that, with the AKKF and whatnot, and I can say with certainty that I'm proud to have a user of your experience level here on the wiki.

Another note, don't ever be afraid to ask for help, advice or critiquing. The worst somebody can do is say "no", right? I'm sure most users here would love to help you out if you need it! I'm also curious, where does your experience come from? Have you edited a lot of wikis before?

Finally a minor idea I had a while back that might interest you and User:Star kirby12- maybe eventually the two of you could collaborate for a story involving Kim and Questisbak as collaborating villains trying to take over the universe. Thanks so much! To be totally honest, this is actually my first wiki. The reason I write as if it's coming straight out of a novel is because I spent a lot of time reading. Even before that, I had perfected my grammar completely around the beginning of third grade so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore in writing assessments and such. I later wrote a Hunger Games fan-story and began to brush up my skills in novel writing. Soon after that, I jumped into the Warriors community where I roleplayed and wrote more stories and enhanced my vocabulary. Ever since then, I've just been reading books. Writing in such a novel-ish way is almost natural for me and you could even say a habit.

And that idea is really amazing, I even got some ideas just now thinking about it.

Another thing, do you have to write stories in the play format? For example,

Jack ran down the stairs quickly pulling on his pullover-Puffle sweater to meet his friends by the door.

Jack: "Are you two ready for the snowball fight?"

Mary: "Of course! I hope you've got your mittens on tight, because I'm showing no mercy!"

Curtis laughed and opened the door for his two best pals.

Curtis: "Last one to the snow forts is a rotten O'Berry!"

This seems a little uncomfortable for me since I add little stories into my articles in paragraph formats, such as the battle with Charlotte and Melancholy or Charlotte versus Johnathan. I'd prefer something more like:

Jack ran down the stairs quickly pulling on his pullover-Puffle sweater to meet his friends by the door. "Are you two ready for the snowball fight?" It's totally fine if it's mandatory, I can get used to it.

Also in response to your P.S., I never figured out how to put the signature to use. Is there a certain place where you save it? And I'd be very glad if you made me one. I'd like a neat little one in a bolded arial font that has my name in red and talk in green. Thank you for the ideas and compliments, you don't even know how appreciated it is. Hey Celestial, I know I'm not CK but to answer your question, yes it's perfectly fine to write in paragraph format. The reason other editors prefer dialogue to be written in a play format is that it's easier for them to follow who's talking when they read the article, especially in one with lots of characters.

Also, here's the signature coding you wanted:

To add the signature, click on the Preferences link on the top right, then copy and paste the signature coding above into the field that has "New signature" next to it, and check "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)". Save, and it should work!  :)

You can write stories however you want! It's just that play style has become quite popular for one reason or another, If I had to guess I'd say it's because it's easier to follow the dialogue between characters and whatnot. Also, here's a signature design that took me all of two minutes to make, so if you want me to make more designs or change this one, just let me know.

I'm an idiot, I just realized the normal font used is arial. But, you can still keep the arial font tags in case there's a page with a different font for some reason. It doesn't hurt your signature. Here's where you need to put your signature (either your signature code, or a template, I would suggest the template method).

In the coding box, either put SUBST:TEMPLATENAME, or the exact signature coding, but remember that box as a character limit.

Awesome

I'm glad you're feeling appreciated. Anyhow I was thinking that Kim could have her own reality TV show that would get her money as well as spread subliminal messages. It could be produced by Charles Maniaca von Injoface, who is known for making TV shows. Charles would just be a pawn though, and not know about her plans for world domiantion.

In addition, I think Kim should have an amiable relationship with Emily (Charles' sister) since they both fit the mold of "popular" stereotype. Kim would use this relationship for getting more popular, and adopt Fashism.

A story arc for the AKKF would be Kim's followers making a 'Stupid Virus' to pacify the population. Everyone infected would become dumb and watch reality TV shows especially Kim's show, and the AKKF has to find a cure.

Also, I could help you write the background for Victoria Floss if you haven't already. I think I get the gist; she's from a well of family and was popular in school, but ate humble pie when she was disqualified for School President and befriended her former rival. I think an interesting arc to do would be to have a love triangle between her, John, and Anne, but ultimately Victoria wants her loved ones and friends to be happy and is okay with the relationship.

Ps. The signature is used whenever you comment on a pages. These are usually talk pages of any sort, user blog, and project pages. It's also used to sign your name when there is a vote or if a page you go to if you find a secret page or completed a quiz.

Stuff

I'm glad you like my edits and previous work.

Anyhow I wrote much of Victoria Floss, you can take a look and see what you like. I kept the love triangle, which does make the relationship a bit awkward, but it is acknowledged and shows how much they are for each other. John's quietness is also mentioned. Some things to note is that Anne ran for class president specifically to keep Victoria out of power not necessarily to do it for herself, and that Alex does go to the prom with Victoria after learning of her secret crush. You can take it out if you like but I think it adds a layer of complexity.

I also made Victoria's parents pretty big Jerk which explains her rather nasty behaviour as a child.

Questisbak is a girl BTW and yeah, any relationship between Kim and Quest will definitely end with backstabbing. I'll work on integrating Fashism and Emily into Kim. Kim will use these for be more popular but not really put values into them, since she's evil and all.

I think the virus could help show the science sector of the AFFK. They could have a lab dedicated to undoing her effects on the public.

Victoria's siblings

Also since she has 4 younger siblings, I thought of some names and personalities for them. One of her younger sisters should be named Nike- since it's the Greek version of Victoria. The other siblings could be named Bia, Kratos, and Zelus, Nike ' s siblings in mythology. Their characterizations could be based on their namesakes and I think we could have Nike and Bia have a rivalry with Nike being the good twin and Bia evil (possibly joining the KKF).

Generally it's okay to double post if you were the last person to respond, but it's generally better to click "Add topic" if other people have responded. It's not a rule though.

I'm glad you like what I did with the article :). I think naming all of them Vic would make them kind of confusing, since Vic and Vicki are shortened versions of Victor and Victoria. I guess we could look at other languages, but many of them are similar as well, save for the Italian Vittorio.

I think we could have 3 of them be based of Victoria, and 3 based off Nike (Which include Nicholas and Nicole). Or we could have 2 "Vic" names, 2 "Nick" names and two "Rick" names, maybe Richard and Richarda.

I think a biological virus would work since she wants to spread her influence faster. Since people choose to watch her show or not, she's not influencing as much people as she would like, and a virus would spread faster and affect any penguin. Maybe the executives for her show meddled around with it which lessened the subliminal messaging.

I'm ready when you are, although I may not have time to expand it greatly due to school and working on other articles on Fanon. I might watch some KUWtK episodes, although I'm definitely not looking forward to it -_-. I'll probably have time in the summer, so you can start without me. Maybe you can catch other reality TV shows like Duck Dynasty and Sarah Palin's Alaska to get the gist of it.

Ps. Do you think you can do some art comissions? In school I often draw characters in my notebook when I'm supposed to be taking notes or paying attention :P. Anyhow, I only have MS paint, so uploading and tracing them onto my computer is such a pain. You seem to have a better drawing software, so perhaps I could send you these pictures and you could trace over them. I'd prefer them to not have thick lines like your other drawings though. It looks fine on your characters, but I prefer a different look on mine.

Show

That's alright, you can respond whenever you're ready. So which names did you think were better, the Greek Gods or Vick/Nick/Rick?

I guess a digital virus could work through the commercials. Perhaps it isn't viewing the commercials themselves, but the radio waves that affect people's minds. So whenever the station sends out the signals for broadcast, people would be affected just by being in the room even if they aren't watching the videos.

Overall I think that eventually Kim's cover to the public should be blown and the public should know about her schemes and try to stop her. Although she could fake redemption and get in the spotlight every now and then.

To start a show you put the template:infobox show. Probably have a background, and critical and viewing ratings.

When I say reality TV, I generally mean shows that follow the lives of people, not contests, game shows, or things like that. I'm not sure if you were referring to those but that's what I think this should be a satire of. I definitely respect your conviction, the Kardashians repel me as well.

Anyhow, I'll upload some of my pictures and upload them eventually. I have to figure out the color scheme for some of them.

Image request?

Hi Celestial :D I'm pretty bad at drawing, and I really like your art style.

I was hoping that if you have any spare time, maybe you could work on an image for Fly-Gong Yinn? As he's a pardoy of Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars Ep. 1, I was thinking maybe it could be a full body penguin-fied version of this image, but obviously you could do whatever you'd like :P If you end up liking that, maybe you could make more images for Yed'ah and Axe Pingu too KD (obviously, I'd be in your gratitude :3). They all use lightsabers rather than Keysabers, as they all lived a long time ago (if you didn't know, Keysabers are our modern versions of lightsabers.

Hello, Celestial! I couldn't help but ask if you could draw Mr. Plik, Pancake, and Morton from PuffleScratch. I have seen your pictures and I have to say you are, by far, one of the computer best artists I've seen in my life! Your art style is particularly cutesy, which is perfect for puffles! Just so you know, they are based off of Mr. Blik, Waffle, and Gordon from the short lived Nickelodeon show, Catscratch. I prefer you draw them all in one perfect. If you accept, a reward will come your way, but I cannot tell you until the picture is done. Thanks!

Metallica

I'm glad you like it! I never really got to watch the show, but Catscratch games were my LIFE back in the good ol' days! I STILL have a copy of a DS game with Mr. Blik as a playable character! I will be updating the episodes every Saturday until episode 20. Be on the lookout! :)

Drawings

AS I said, maybe in your spare time you could scribble the idea around for more Yedah or Axe Pingu images? :p Or even another image of my character Penquino! If you do Penquino, you can draw him however you'd like attire-wise (with or without Jedi cloak/jedi robes/normal hoodie outfit/etc, I'd think that's all interchangeable). The only thing need I'd say would be the Aqua and the Tousled hair. He has two keysabers, one red and one blue (to match his 3D Glasses), though when only using one it's usually the blue although he does know how to duel-wield them. Or hey, you could always draw an earlier image of penquino too from his pre-shops days (maybe when he was a prime PSA agent). It's up to you, who, what, when, where and why is all up to you! Ok. Her parents were kind and sweet. She doesn't like being the President's daughter because every action is watched by the press. She did have a best friend. Her name was Krista Howe, and she was the daughter of Travis Howe. She fought Darktan and Bellina privately while she was in Snowzerland. (Long story). She was 7 when her father was elected. (2015). Btw, it's Laura Brant, not Lauren. Hope this helps.

It's the least I could do for such a perfect picture. Charlotte would be just fine. I'll even try to fit havoc in too. I must ask if Charlotte has ever worn anything else besides her usual costume.

Sure, I'll be able to fit Eloise in there. This isn't the only character that will be replace by another (*cough*Garfield/Odie*cough*).

I don't want to give too much away before the project even starts (publicly) getting off the ground, but I would just like you to know that Kim Karkrashian will appear too, but as a robot model instead who steals Havoc and harnesses its power. After defeating Kim-bot(?) is destroyed, Charlotte gets Havoc back and is convinced to join the rest of the crew in their quest.
