The War on Pengumorphs was a series of battles waged after discovery (and awakening) of an ancient species on Saturn's moon...
Prologue - Engineering Life[edit]
Earth - 12,000 BC
Three walk out of a shadow. They are penguins - and yet not penguins. Their feathers are nearly snow-white, as are their beaks and feet. Their glittering eyes almost entirely black. Against the stark land their height is impossible to judge. They are Engineers. Two of them are cloaked in dark robes of strange, ornamental design. The third is shorter, wearing much simpler, lighter robes. One of the cloaked Engineers opens a featureless black box: inside lies a small glass filled with a sticky liquid. The short Engineer lifts the glass with ceremonial slowness, and raises it to his white beak. As he drinks the liquid, the others bow to him, and leave the sacrificial Engineer.
The shorter Engineer turns, and faces the large waterfall below him. The liquid begins to show its effects. He begins to shiver, which quickly turns into uncontrollable shaking. He quickly grows weak, and falls to his flippers. Soon, his flippers fail to support him, and he falls. He tumbles down the waterfall, as his body disintegrates, seeding the planet with his DNA. Little do any of the Engineers know, this will later birth the dominant species of the Antarctic: Penguinkind.
